Some life jackets are scratchy and uncomfortable. This one is pretty soft and made of a neoprene material. It was easy to get on and my little one didn’t mind wearing it.

I bought this in the beginning of the summer for my 6 year old who is leaning to swim and it fit him perfectly and held up great for the whole season. He feels so much more confident than he did in a puddle jumper. It’s thin enough to not be cumbersome and promotes correct swimming positions. I would definitely buy another one!

It seems the negative reviews are from people looking for a true PFD. This is a swim vest—it only has a small amount of buoyancy to help developing swimmers. This is not sufficient for use in open water or survival, but it is for use in supervised pools to help swimmers in training.

This is not a life jacket to keep your child floating. Which I was okay with. However, it leaves terrible burns on my son & nephew. The material rubbed their necks, armpits, and lower back completely raw. We are going to try with a swim shirt next time but I’m not sure it will help not rub on their necks.
