We are out of town and forgot our life jackets. My L.O. is 5 y.o. and weighs 42 lbs, I bought size large (age 4-6, 45 lbs - 60 lbs). This did not keep him afloat, which is all I really need in a life jacket. He sunk in the water and would not let go of me the entire time. I do not recommend buying this one for your L.O. You may need to go up to the junior size (50 lbs - 90 lbs) in this brand otherwise try a different brand.

I saw this only had two reviews and one other person did say it did not work and I needed to buy my kiddo a vest so I was like let me try it out and I did and it did not work. I will be returning.
