I have used numerous breastpumps through my time of breastfeeding my two children, and the Swing Maxi is one of the best. I will list the pros and cons of the pump. Pros: the pump is cordless, that’s right, you don’t have to be plugged into a wall! The battery life lasted me days while pumping at work, so I didn’t even have to charge it every day. The pump is also very quiet. I work in a hospital where our pump rooms are highly utilized, and I almost got nervous people would think I was not actually pumping because there is no way you would be able to hear the pump due to how quiet it is. The pump is very efficient and I found pumped more milk than many of my other electric pumps. The flanges are much more comfortable than other pump flanges due to the silicone rim, which I also felt created a better seal. Cons: there is no digital display on the pump. You can use the app the pump links to on your phone to see how long you’re pumping, but I do like it better when a pump has an actual display screen to let you know the length of your pumping session and pump setting, versus using an app. The tubing is both a blessing a curse. The tubing is connected, so one tube connects to both flanges. This is nice to not have to mess with multiple tubes, however, the tubing is connected to both pumps. So if you’re trying to disconnect the tubing from one pump, you risk yanking to hard and knocking over the other bottle of pumped milk since it’s all connected. I learned the hard way this is why it’s so important to use the milk stands the pump comes with. Overall, it’s a great pump and the pros definitely out-way the cons.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Medela Swing Maxi through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I absolutely LOVE how effective it is at expressing my milk. I can get almost double the amount of milk in half the time in comparison to the other two pumps I own. The pump also seems to be more gentle. I have less nipple discomfort during and after use. If I'm wearing a robe or a loose sweater with pockets, I can slip the pump on and be completely mobile throughout the house. This has helped cut my morning routine in half as I can pump what's left after my daughter feeds while I continue to get ready for work. I haven't found another way to be fully mobile with this though I'm sure you could attach the pump to a belt. The bottles and pump parts are very easy to clean without a lot of nooks and crannies for milk or water to hide. The app is a nice added feature as it makes it easier to keep track of your milk production throughout the day. The only reason I did not give this pump 5 stars is because I wouldn't feel comfortable using this pump in public as it would be challenging not to expose yourself while putting it on and taking it off and it would be obvious under your clothes. If you are planning to use it in the privacy of your home or are less concerned about possible exposure I would 100% recommend this pump! It's efficient, and portable, taking up much less space than traditional pumps.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Medela Swing Maxi is a great little pump that is very quiet and easy to travel with. The silicone ring on the pump reduces vibration noise, which makes it not quite as annoying to use as other pumps. Due to the silicone rings on the flanges, this pump has increased my supply. This ring appears to make a better seal increasing the supply and also make it much more comfortable and has been my favorite part of the pump Since there are not a lot of parts to this pump it is very easy to setup, use and clean. My only quip with this pump is the lack of the dedicated timer and strength settings showing on the pump. Yes there is the Medela Family app that allows you to see this information. I just am not that big of a fan of the app and definitely not a fan of having to bring my phone out to see these simple numbers that could have been included on this product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel I received the Medela Swing Maxi to use. I have been pumping for 9 months when I got this pump. I was very excited to longer be attached to the wall! That is the absolute best perk! I was able to do some chores while pumping instead of being stuck in one place. You do need to be able to lay the pump down or be able to stick the pump in a pocket. I was also able to get my normal output which was great!! I love that you could easily recharge the pump and no batteries are needed. Cleaning the pump was easy too! I also liked that I could use my other Medela bottles with the pump. The pump itself can fit in one of my hands so it’s fairly small, but does a good job pumping.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a long term breastfeeding momma. I’m currently in my fourth year of breastfeeding and my youngest is almost 2. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for allowing me to try the Medela Swing Maxi. I received this pump at the right time as I’ve started to drop some feedings which has resulted in many clogged ducts. This pump has been a miracle worker for me and these clogs. I love that this pump can be used wirelessly and allows for so much freedom to move around while pumping. I also live how small it is as it’s easy to take on the go. It’s also very easy to keep clean. Medela has switched up their design since my last pump and there’s less parts to clean and it’s just overall a more sleek looking design. I’m a big fan of the new design and its minimal parts to clean. There were a few things I wasn’t as impressed with. The charging cord is very short, so if you have to charge it while using it because you let the battery run down, you’re very much tied to one small area with the cord. Also, it’s really not very quiet. It vibrates pretty loudly. It’s not obnoxious, but it does have sound. This pump is also Bluetooth compatible with mobile devices and reports information to the Medela Family App. Because I’m so far into my breastfeeding journey, I don’t document my stash too much or my time. I didn’t find this app to be too much of a help to me. It may be more helpful to a full time pumping mama, but I could do with or without it. I’m so thankful to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for allowing me the opportunity to try the Medela Swing Maxi. It’s become one of my favorite pumps!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product to test through stellar product testing panel in exchange for my honest thoughts of it! I have spent a total of 43 months breastfeeding and pumping with no end in sight and have used various different pumps so I have a variety of experience to compare this pump to. I will tell you it certainly measured up and blew me away. My favorite part is the bag it comes with which is an insulated backpack and easily fits all my pumping supplies and then some and it’s cute to boot! I mainly use the pump when I am at work and away from my baby so it being easily transportable and lightweight is an essential feature for me. It can also be charged to run off battery which is important because I sometimes pump on way to or from work in car. Its not secret that the best way to empty breasts is by breastfeeding directly but when unable to do so it’s important to have a pump that empties you efficiently… I had no problem with this pump as my shifts are 12 1/2 hours long so I am sometimes away from my baby for 15+ hours. I never had issues being fully emptied. This pump has minimal parts to clean which is quick easy and less chances of loosing or misplacing parts. At this point in my breastfeeding journey I did not find the app to be necessary but could see how that would have been helpful early on for women just starting out.

I only found 1 think I didn’t like about it and that was I found it to be a little on the louder side. I was able to get more milk and even on a lower setting, which is more comfortable. The best feature of this pump is that you don’t have to have it plugged in. This means that you can literally pump anywhere! You can even be mobile if needed while pumping, because you aren’t connected to the wall.

I seemed to be able to pump a little shorter duration to get the same amount of milk than I would with my other pumps. Overall the pump is very easy to use and much easier to clean which is also another reason I’ve since made this my go to pump! The pump still requires you to sit somewhere to pump as you are attached via tubing to the pump itself but this is similar to other pumps in the same category. The tubing could be a bit longer to allow a bit more freedom in the sense of movement while sitting but not a dealbreaker. It apparently has an app but I did not use this app. I’m sure someone more tech savvy would like this feature. My favorite feature is that this pump is efficient, easy to use, and easy to clean!

It is small, light and portable. I love that I can pack it up and pump anywhere. The pump is very easy to use and comfortable. After use everything is so easy to clean as well. The pump is very quiet and does not disturb my baby when I am pumping. The Medela family app is easy to use but didn't work 100% with my particular cell phone. I would definitely recommend to my friends.

Being able to move around while pumping was wonderful and it allowed me to follow my son around as he wandered throughout the house and also allowed me to get things done while pumping. I wish it came with some sort of belt or something to make the pump completely hands free. The backpack it came with is great when needing to transport my pump and it’s parts but wasn’t ideal when pumping to be able to have both of my hands free. I love that this pump connects to my phone via an app. It made it extremely easy to track how long I had been pumping for an allowed me to enter how much milk I got from each breast. Overall, I really enjoy this pump. The battery life on it is much better than a similar portable pump I have. Thanks to the Stellar Product Review Panel for providing me with this breast pump.
