I have a love hate relationship with this pump. I had to buy a new one because my motif one bit the dust and this seemed like a good purchase for me especially since my baby is only 4 months old. It has been so far I like that is has the app to connect and it is wireless. I just wish you could see the battery life without having to check the app. Also the membranes aren’t the greatest they lose their shape pretty fast and in turn their suction. I am having to buy them in bulk which shouldn’t be the case I use a lower setting on the pump and am only pumping 2-3 times a day. Overall a good purchase though! I’ve had mine for a month and am still happy.

I took this pump with me on a small vacation and it was the perfect size for on the go. One of the beat features was that it came with spare pump parts so I was able to pump twice without having to clean parts. Although I must say the pump parts are extremely easy to clean. The pump is so small and lightweight I threw it in my tote bag and used it on the drive. I also used to to pump while getting ready in the hotel room and was able to move around while pumping. I loved that I wasn’t stuck attached to a wall and was still able to pump my usual amount of milk. There is also an app that goes along with the pump that helps you track your sessions and milk production such a helpful tool. My favorite part was definitely the size and mobility this pump provided me.

It's intuitive to use, there aren't a million pieces to clean and it kept me going through a week-long vacation without which I probably would have been done pumping. I like that there aren't any tiny pieces that are hard to clean and easy to lose and that it was wearable so I could be doing other things while pumping (a must with the third baby!) I exclusively pumped for about a month and I definitely wouldn't have been able to keep it up without the convenience of this pump. The suction isn't as great as with my plug-in but it definitely got the job done. Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending this to me!

I am not a high volume producer so I think this pump is efficient enough for my need. I like how small the footprint is this pump. the round shape kind of making it easier to fit into my diaper bag. It’s convenient for me to bring it outside of home to use. This pump is like the other medela pump I had used. It’s easy To follow instruction and parts are easy to clean and take off to wash. Nothing make it too different to wash. I didn’t get to use the medela apps so I can’t vote for what the goods and bass about that. I might use it in the future. I’m open to it.

I appreciate it when baby products are easy to clean especially if I am hand washing and this pump was definitely easy to clean! I didn't need any special tools to get in crevices or anything like that. All pieces disassembled well. I just used my dish sponge and a bottle cleaner. The most impressive piece to clean was the nice-sized yellow valve piece! The valves are usually my least favorite part because they are so small and the valve with this pump was too big to lose in all the dishwashing chaos, which is helpful! As far as pumping goes, I'm not sure how efficient this pump was at pumping my milk. It seemingly wasn't doing well, but I also had medical problems during time of testing so that would be hard to rate. I was able to pump with some freedom, although I would have liked to have a band or something to hold the pump base as I'm doing tasks around the house. It was great for travling in the car but it wasn't the best if you were moving around even with a pumping bra. If you don't mind picking up and setting the base of the pump from time to time and you're looking for an easy to clean pump and a cute backpack with lots of room for storage, this is your pump. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My favorite things about the Medela Swing Maxi pump are it’s small and portable size and the long battery life (able to complete over 3 pumping sessions). Other features I like are: the flanges and suction/vibration are both comfortable, the pump comes with 2 flange size options to ensure the perfect fit, the connectors have a rounded shape allowing for more discrete coverage under a shirt and easy cleaning, one primary connector tube into the pump to eliminate tube tangles, the let down/expression phase automatically triggers after a minute making it easy to use, it’s quiet and it comes with a great carrying backpack (for storage and to wear during use). Another feature that is nice but I did not personally use much is the ability to connect the pump to blue tooth in order to use the Medela app to track pumping sessions as well as track other things (bottles, diapers, sleep, etc). The pump did not consistently link to the app, however, and the app was not intuitive or simple to use - both of which led me to not bother using the app. One major thing I’d change is the fact that the connectors leak milk when tilted near horizontally, such as when I bend over to pick something up off the floor, pick up my child or open a low cabinet. This has happened multiple times and I’ve lost about 2 ounces of precious milk each time while also creating a mess on the floor and my clothes. I like this pump because it’s small and portable, allowing me to accomplish other things while pumping, however, this feature really limits my ability to do that and is a main reason why I do not love this pump. I would also suggest providing a carabiner to hook onto the loop of the pump so that moms can easily clip the pump onto their clothing or pumping bra, making this even more portable. I have trialed putting the pump in the backpack and wearing the backpack while pumping, however, I prefer hooking the carabiner. Overall, I recommend this Medela Swing Maxi pump for its portability and size. I’d give it 5 stars once the connector design is modified to prevent leaking. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to test out the Medela Swing Maxi as I have always loved the Medela brand of products. This pump was definitely what I expected in terms of suction and power. The Medela brand is what I used in the hospital when both my babies where born so I knew it would be the trusted brand to go with for my everyday pumping. The Swing Maxi is super easy to assemble and take apart to clean. It has less parts then any other pump I have used before meaning less parts to clean and replace! That saves valuable time and money down the road. I really love that the bottles are all enclosed so that while you are pumping, you can move around and not have to worry about spilling any milk. One of the best parts to the pump are the flanges! The flex personal fit flanges are the most comfortable flanges I have ever used. While there is a lot of positives with this pump, there were also a few misses for me. First, I’m not sure what the loop strap is for but a belt type clip would be way more convenient. Also while the flanges were extremely comfortable, they send size 24 and 21 with the pump so I had to order the larger size before I could try the pump out. One of the biggest things was that there was no way to tell what level suction the pump was set to. There are no indicator lights or gauges at all. I guess had to guess what level I was adjusting to but didn’t really know if I was setting it to the same level each time or not. I think the biggest miss for me is since I have now used the type of pump that fits into my current bra, there just is no going back. The hassle of taking off my bra and putting on another bra to be hands free as well as having bottles hanging down without really being able to cover up is just not preferable. As a mom of two, I feel like every minute counts and I have to use my time wisely. The Medela Swing Maxi is a game changer and has allowed me the freedom of pumping without having to be plugged into the wall. The greatest feature of this pump is the fact that you can pump anywhere! I’m able to pump while cooking dinner, playing with my kids and even in the car. The pump itself is small and lightweight; it fits in the palm of my hand. It is a powerful pump and my supply has not changed compared to other electric pumps I have used. One things I wish was different were the flanges. You have to use a pumping bra. I wish the flange/collecting system was more discrete and could be worn under your clothes. I get very cold sitting in a pumping bra. The pump is easy to put together and take apart. Clean up is simple as well. There are four parts per side to clean. The pump connects with the Medela Family app. This has been very helpful with tracking my output and the oz I have in my stockpile. You can even chat with a Medela employee and ask questions about pumping/breastfeeding and the device. Overall, I think this pump stands out among others and is perfect for a mom on the go.

This pump came at the perfect time for me as I was preparing for an upcoming trip and didn’t want to drag a large pump with me while traveling. The swing maxi is small but mighty! The pump is small and easy to use for travel while still providing plenty of suction to get out the same amount of milk other pumps would for me. It was very easy to use and clean. I also loved being able to connect it to the Medela app to track pumping sessions and record how much milk I was pumping. The pump also comes with a small backpack that is perfect for travel or working moms to bring the pump to work. I use this pump everyday at work now and love how convenient and easy it is. The only downfall for me was that the pump only came with 21mm and 24mm flanges and I needed the 27mm ones.

I had previously only used a different brand of pump, but when I tried this Medela, I was pleasantly surprised. It was quite easy to clean and managed to pump more milk than I usually got with seemingly less effort. The pump is smaller than plug-in pumps and it’s cord-free so I’m able to move around my house getting things done while I pump. It could be a bit quieter, especially when I set it down on hard surfaces as the pumping rattles it. I’m also not sure what the hanging loop is meant to hang from.the parts are easy to clean as well. I do wish there was a timer on the pump. You are able to connect to the Medela app via Bluetooth, but you need to do that prior to pumping and mine logged me out mid-pump when I navigated to another app (which, let’s be honest, you’re going to do while pumping). But other than that, this has become my new go-to pump!
