This compact yet powerful and portable pump is a game changer for pumping without being tied to an outlet! This pump doesn’t compromise on quality to be portable. I saw comparable output with the Swing Maxi as I did with my Medela Pump In Style. The battery charge lasts giving the flexibility to pump a full work day on the go- I pumped a total of 6 sessions averaging 10 minutes each and a combination of single and double before recharging my battery which was only depleted to 50%. Although it is not discrete it is the perfect option for those of us who need to pump without an outlet (I.e. in your car) but still want a traditional flange set up and Medela controls (hello no learning curve!). The Swing Maxi is easy to clean traditional bottles and flanges. You can pump and feed right from the same bottle. The Medela family app pairs with this pump to track pumping time and you can manually add sides, amounts, and other details-perfect if you wish to track that stuff. It also will pick up sessions offline and share them with the app which is useful if your tracking with the app. Love using this pump with the freedom to move around and pump without an outlet!

My previous pump lasted through 2 children and was starting to wear out by my 3rd - I was sent this pump just in time! I love that I can pump single or bouble, that it's easy to use, easy to clean, QUIET and totally portable! The fit of the breast shield is good and the suction can be adjusted to more closely mimic the way your baby feeds. It's a great pump!

This pump is so small but don’t let it’s small size fool you, it does a great job! I’ve tried a few pumps before this one in my breastfeeding journey and have honestly loved this one the most. Right away they provide you with 2 flanges size so you can get the best fit. The suction is so gentle yet very effective. I was able to pump much more comfortably than I had with other pumps. I love how small the pump itself is, it’s not heavy or bulky but still works great. The battery allows for mobility while pumping but I wish it came with a lanyard or clip rather than a small loop. The pump parts are easy to clean, come apart easily and are quick to reassemble. I already use the Medela family app and it was fairly easy to connect the pump through Bluetooth to track your pumping sessions right into the app. It did disconnect and reconnect a few times but that didn’t appear to hinder tracking properly. I do like how it automatically records without having to manually enter. This pump is so great because the tubing has the option to single pump built right in. And bonus it comes with a backpack to hold the pump, all it’s parts and cords, with space to add in some personal items as well! I’d definitely recommend this pump to any mom who exclusively or occasionally pumps!

I hated pumping with my first baby and was dreading it even more once I found out I was pregnant with my second. I have a VERY active two and a half year old boy and could not imagine being tied to a wall to pump multiple times a day. I even considered buting a wearable pump, but they are so expensive and I have heard mixed reviews about their efficiency in expressing milk. I used a Medela pump the first time around and trust the brand, so I was thrilled to get the opportunity to try this one out. It did not disappoint! I am able to easily pump while walking around the house, doing household chores and playing with my son. It also effectively pumps just as much milk as a traditional pump, possibly even more! I love using the app, too, since it makes it really easy to track when I last pumped and/or adjust the settings on the pump while pumping. Cleaning a pump is always such a pain, but this one is super easy to clean and doesn't have a bunch of tiny parts to lose. I love that you can feel the pump working, but it isn't uncomfortable. I can easily adjust the power from either the pump or my phone and it's very quiet and discreet. It also holds a charge really well! I go back to work in a few weeks and I know that this pump will make that transition easier!

I’m currently nursing a 7mo and I typically pump once every day or two to build up a “going out” stash - this pump has been great! I typically use it as a double but the tubing makes it super easy to switch to a single if I want. The battery life is amazing! I rarely need to recharge. The buttons are easy to press, sometimes a little too easy because I turn it on accidentally when I pick it up sometimes. The only thing it didn’t have was some kind of display to show me what suction level it was at. I connected the pump to the app on my phone and it showed me there though! All in all I was happy with the pump!

As a mama of 4 young kids it’s vitally important that a breast pump allows me to multitask. I’m currently at home and using this pump to add to my emergency stash. So I desperately need a pump that allows me to move about the house during our daily activities and or pumping while feeding one side. This pump accomplished all of that! I’ve always been a big fan of Medela and their battery operated pumps. The Swing Max takes the convenience that much further. It’s super light and very easy to recharge with the usb cord. I feel like Medela went above and beyond with the ease to reassembly all the pieces after cleaning. The ability to get a good seal with the breast pump pieces is so much easier than past models! I also really enjoyed the ability to use the app to track my output. I have been in the position in the past where tracking every ounce consumed and every ounce pumped was a huge undertaking! Where was this app eight years ago?! Having all that information in the app and in addition to educational information would have been a lifesaver. I feel very fortunate to have that this time around, but I also understand the value it can be for other moms. Lastly, my favorite thing has to be that no spill bases! Yes, you can cry over spilled milk!!

The pump allows for so much more freedom whether I am home or out and about. I love the fact that there are less parts than my other Medela pump. It makes it easy to clean and there are not small crevices that can cause build up. I love the Medela Family app. After giving birth, I tried to find an app to document various things the baby did. This app has it all, diaper changes, feedings, etc. In addition, the app has articles and a chat that is extremely helpful.

I was able to use it at work and had the freedom to move around but still pumped as effectively as I did with the hospital grade pump. It also worked great at home when I needed to multitask while pumping. The new design of the connectors and membranes is easy to put together and easy to clean. The pump is quiet and it’s great that it can operate while charging. It holds a charge well but realizing I forgot to charge it when it was time to pump had me in a panic until I realized it could do both at the same time! The bag that comes with it is nice, but honestly not very intuitive about what should be put in what compartment and it doesn’t feel like it was made specifically for the pump. The Medela app is a nice way to keep track of your freezer supply and how often and how long you’re pumping if that is something you’re interested in doing. I’m a teacher, and I use this pump when I’m at lunch time. I really like that it is very portable. I can even wear a sweater over it and move about my classroom with ease. There are very few parts to wash which is awesome! I used the app a couple times. It was nice to be able to track your pumping length and how much you pumped. I could see this being helpful if you were trying to pinpoint what worked best for you. Overall, I have really used this pump a ton.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t even know where to begin here. The Medela Swing Maxi has been such a game changer for our pumping sessions. I would use this breast pump any day over ANY other pump because of how effective and efficient it is. I get the highest milk collection I have ever had using this pump! With my previous breast pumps, I would get 2oz maximum per breast, which really isn’t much and way less than my baby needs. With the Medela Swing Maxi, I am getting 3 oz minimum per breast, but I normally get more in the 3.5-4 oz. range! This has been a HUGE time saver as I am getting double or over my normal amount per session. I have actually been able to cut my daily pumping sessions in half. This allows me to spend more time with my family and has allowed me to be more productive at work as I only have been pumping once daily while there. This pump has so many amazing parts and features. One of my absolute favorite features is that you have the ability to pause a session. This has been so helpful and useful for me. I have 3 children under 3, so having a session not be interrupted would be extremely rare. I have been able to tend to my family without having to completely restart a session, like I’ve had to do in the past with my previous pumps. The size of this pump is really unbelievable. It really holds its own for how small it is. Even the charger is small, it’s the same size as an iPhone charger, which is so nice! I love that you can still pump when charging if needed too, which I for sure have! The comfort of this pump can really not be beat. The shields are so soft and mold perfectly to your breast. There is nothing more uncomfortable than the typical hard plastic shields that dig into your breasts causing discomfort and pain. I believe the comfort really helps with the higher milk production because I’m not in pain and not stressed thinking about how sore I will be after a session. One accessory I actually didn’t even know existed but now couldn’t live without, are the bottle stands. I don’t even want to think about how much milk I’ve lost in the past from my freshly filled bottles tipping over before disconnecting from the tubing. No more lost milk here! The bottles won’t budge when they are on the stands. I am absolutely obsessed with the Medela Swing Maxi. Pumping with my previous babies would’ve been much more successful if I had this breast pump. The Medela Swing Maxi is an absolute MUST HAVE for any mama planning to breastfeed their little one.
