It is small enough to hang from my belt loop but powerful enough to replace a full sized system. It is very intuitive and easy to use with only four button and if you want more information or to track you pumping you can easily hook up to the app. I also found this pump easy to clean, dry, and put back together. Made pumping a breeze versus previous horrible experience being limited to the length of cord to the outlet. Recommend this pump to anyone in the market for high quality of product and life! It got my lifestyle of on the go with multiple kids and activities plus a need for the product to be discrete and easy to bring to and form work. It pumped more than my previous product in less time. The closed system means minimal parts to clean. Every moms dream! The app was also amazing to keep track of supply so I knew home much I needed for going back to work and sending the kids to daycare etc. In the past I used a third party app and never remembered amounts from late night sessions so this was a huge win for me. Coupled with great batter life, this is the best pump on the market in my opinion. And I’ve tried MANY! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been lucky enough to test out quite a few breast pumps between both my babies and this one has been amazing! The pump is extremely easy to assemble for use. The buttons are really easy to understand even if you never looked in the manual. The pump itself is pretty quiet compared to others offered by this brand and the shape of the pump makes for super easy storing and carrying. It’s also pretty lightweight in my opinion. The fact that you’re not hooked to the wall while pumping is a major plus. I was able to get about 4 long pumping sessions in daily before having to recharge (my sessions are usually 30-60 minutes). As for milk output, I believe I am able to pull a little more with this pump but the thing I like the most is that the suction is way more comfortable than my other pumps. Cleaning this pump is a breeze as there are only a few main parts but nothing that has areas that you’d find hard to reach. I would highly recommend this pump as i definitely have enjoyed being more mobile with my pumping and not having sore nipples afterwards.

Very simple to put together in very few large pieces, nothing small to misplace. Which also makes the pump parts easy to clean and sterilize. Medela family app was great to keep track of when I last pumped as well as which breast I last pumped, or if I pumped both at once. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this breast pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I loved my experience using the Medela Swing Maxi breast pump. It’s compact, light-weight, and helps me produce more than enough milk for my baby. I have been using it during car rides, on my work breaks, and at home doing chores. The actual pump itself is easy to carry around since it fit in the pocket of my sweater or sometimes in a fanny pack. Cleaning the different pump parts was easy. The bottle was a four piece component. I did feel a little anxious drying them because some parts have little nooks where water can enter and sometimes I had to pump right away and I couldn’t wait for it to dry. I was scared that I would accidentally pump water into the tubes. I just had to be more meticulous in drying the slot where the tubes go in. I tried the Medela Family app and I found some portions of the app useful. The part of the app that I used most was logging my pumping times. It was great because it would auto-log the other times even if I didn’t open or use the app. One of my favorite feature of the pump was the massage/stimulating mode. It was different from the other pump I used and it felt more natural. I was able to express more milk than my other hospital grade pump. Another feature I like about the pump is how silent it is. It doesn’t bother my husband while he’s sleeping and in the same room. As new parents, we need all the sleep we can get so this pump is a must-have-item for first time moms.

I've had my fair share of experience with older Medela pumps, but nothing compares to the Swing Maxi. There is a slight learning curve with connecting the pumping parts because there were fewer pieces than I was used to, but once I got over that hurdle, I had so much success with this breast pump! I work on a busy nursing unit and trying to find time to pump can be near impossible some days. I also hate being connected to a pump that is also connected to a wall outlet. However, the Swing Maxi is small in comparison and is so easy to carry around when it fits in the palm of your hand! When I'm at work, I put the pump into my scrub jacket pocket to carry to the pumping room and no one suspects a thing. I love having the freedom to pump when I'm crammed for time and have to multitask (sometimes this means eating or charting while I pump). After pumping, the small size means an easy clean up and this breast pump can be easily wiped down. Now when it comes down to the performance of the Swing Maxi pump, it's a terrific experience. This breast pump is so quiet and no one will know you're pumping unless you explicitly tell them. Plus, I'm able to pump more in ten minutes with this pump than 15-20 minutes with any of the other pumps I own. As both a nurse and a mom, every minute counts so I appreciate the shorter pumping time when I have so many other things I could be doing over pumping. Overall, I highly recommend this pump if you're like me and do not have spare time to spend on pumping. I love the freedom to pump wherever and whenever I can, and the Swing Maxi gives me just that! As a busy mom to a 1.5 year old, this pump is amazing. I am beyond the stage where I need a pump with maximum power designed to pump as much milk as possible, rather I just need a pump I can use once a day while I am working and my daughter is at daycare. I love how lightweight, compact, and easy this pump is. It had far fewer loose parts than any other pump I've tried which means fewer parts getting dirty that are tough to clean, so huge bonus. The compact size of this pump makes it easy to take anywhere and pump on the go. I paired this pump with the nursing bra and it is a complex hands free experience allowing this busy working mom to multitask, which is another huge plus. I also love the tiny details of extra thought that went into things like the bases that the actual bottles fit into making them much more sturdy and impossible to tip over when set on a table which is great peace of mind when you are dealing with breast milk. Definitely recommend this pump to anyone in a similar spot on their breastfeeding journey.

First of all I am so impressed with the product as a whole, and love that it comes with a carry case and everything I could need. The pump itself is very efficient and it is so great to be hands free whilst pumping. You can so easily walk around and go about your day whilst pumping on the go. It is extremely lightweight and easily transported in the great carry case. There are few parts to this pump and therefore cleaning is so much more efficient and easier to clean. Overall, I would highly recommend this pump to any Mom who wants a carefree, simple pumping experience. My favorite aspect of the Medela Swing Maxi is absolutely the handsfree aspect. Every nursing Mamma needs one!

The Medela family app helps you keep track of your pumping sessions, milk supply and gives you a place to keep track of your baby’s growth.
