I fairly often find myself pumping in the car and the small size of this pump was much more convenient than other larger pumps I’ve used in the past. I didn’t use the app because frankly I’m just not very techy. I really liked the oval flanges!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used other pumps by Medela but always wanted the ability to be mobile and to be able to multitask while pumping. I paired the Swing Maxi with a handsfree bra and my pumping life has changed. I can work, cook, do dishes, fold laundry and what not with this combo. The pump is small but super efficient. I did not notice a decrease in the output compared to the other pumps I own. Connecting the pump with the app was a bit of a hassle though but after several attempts I got it to work. I also would like it if there was a display screen on the pump itself. The flanges are soft around the breast and there are less parts to the assembly altogether which is amazing because cleaning all the parts multiple times a day is not my favorite task. The pump came with a bag which makes for easy transport and also great for storage. The pump is not loud either. I work remotely so loud pumps are not a concern for me but I enjoyed being able to take calls while pumping without worrying about the noise caused by the pump. All in all, once the supply is established with a hospital grade pump in the first 6 weeks post partum, this is a great pump to have on hand to maintain it from there on. The assembly was quick and I loved how the pump was so compact making it easy to transport. There are also less parts to clean which makes it really convenient for a busy mom on the go. The flexible breast shields were super comfortable. It comes with the cutest bag and I highly recommend the bra for hands free pumping. The Medela Family App was easy to tailor and track my sessions. My only request would be that I would have loved to see a timer on the pump itself, rather than just on the app. Otherwise, it's a great pump and I would highly recommend it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After having my daughter this year, I have tried many pumps from all different price points In hopes of finding the perfect one for me. I recently started using this Swing Maxi Medela pump and am loving it so far. It is effective, yet small and portable enough that I don’t feel tied down while pumping. This pump is quiet enough that I can talk on the phone while pumping without the person on the other end having any idea. The suction is effective, yet gentle which is great. This makes the pumping time a little more enjoyable than other pumps that feel like they’re ripping your nipples off. The only con I have found with this pump is that it doesn’t have a built in timer to show how long you have been pumping. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this pump. I was thrilled to try this out and be able to give other moms my honest opinion.

I am in love with this pump - sure it has a few things I would change but it does it's intended job (pumping while being portable) so well! To start, the cups they provide are super comfy and flexible which is great and putting together the pump to start a session is a breeze. Since I'm not tied to a plug, I can multitask while pumping if I want or I can enjoy pumping in a comfy location that might not be near a plug. The battery lasted a weekend worth of pumping sessions without me needing to plug it back in for a charge too! During the session, the pump auto switches between the cycles at one minute which is great for me since I tend to get wrapped up in other stuff and would forget to switch it myself. It's quieter than any other pump I've seen or used too. Now there are some things that could be improved - it would be great to have a timer display somewhere on the unit so I would know how long it's been going rather than having to rely on my own timer. Same with some kind of light bar that would show the strength of the suction so I would be able to consistently set it every session rather than fiddle with it until it was comfortable every session. Finally, while the loop at the top is nice, a clip would be better so it could be attached to a belt loop, etc (it's a little too big for most women's pockets). So to recap, if you are looking for a pump that is quiet, efficient, and super portable, look no further than this one!

This is a great compact breast jump, which is ideal for traveling or pumping while at work. I wish I had the luxury of having this with my first. I love the design of the pump bottles and love that all of the accessories (and space for more) fits neatly into a tiny backpack. As a mother of two this is ideal. I have it four stars currently, as I want to see how well this breast pump after a few months of using it, but so far I have not been disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this pump from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Overall, great portable pump. I love this pump for back up like running errands or not having a pump room available at work. It’s super easy to use, comes with a super cute bag, has suction comparable to all my other pumps, and the phalanges have a nice shape to them with silicone edges for a better fit. Cons: Why did they have to change all the pieces?! Odd charger, different tubing, and different “connectors” between the phalange and the bottle. It just makes it harder to make sure you have everything and impossible to borrow from someone when you forget something. The battery initially worked for several pumps but now it seems like it’s down to only 2 pumps. I’d have to do better at timing them to see how long it’s lasting. But if you plug it in while using it, it’ll work which is nice. The bag is cute but could be a smidge bigger. I have everything in it as a back up but then also my tubing and extra “connectors” for my work pump. This pump is not a portable pump in the sense of “place in your bra and walk around without tubes and do what you want”. It still leaks when you bend over. It still has the bottles that hang out from your boobies (not hidden). This pump is essentially their regular pump but with a backup rechargeable battery so you can take it places, small size, and all new parts so you want to go mad if you can’t find a piece.

I really enjoy the swing maxi. It comes with a small, convenient backpack that all parts & pump can fit in, which is great for pumping on the go. The suction levels work really well & aren't too powerful. My milk supply is similar to when I used to Medela Symphony from my hospital's grant program. I use this pump with the Medela app and pump Log which makes tracking my supply and sessions quite easy. My only complaint about this pump is that the battery dies pretty fast, so instead of getting 4-5 pump sessions, I can only get 2-3, which is why I gave this pump 4 stars instead of 5. Additionally, the pump is a little noisy.

I have a love hate relationship with this pump. I had to buy a new one because my motif one bit the dust and this seemed like a good purchase for me especially since my baby is only 4 months old. It has been so far I like that is has the app to connect and it is wireless. I just wish you could see the battery life without having to check the app. Also the membranes aren’t the greatest they lose their shape pretty fast and in turn their suction. I am having to buy them in bulk which shouldn’t be the case I use a lower setting on the pump and am only pumping 2-3 times a day. Overall a good purchase though! I’ve had mine for a month and am still happy.
