Works great for heating up a drafty18x12ft room. Theres no fan on the unit so its truly silent. I tried a digital oil filled one that cost more bc i thought the remote control and auto features would be worth it but it wasnt. The digital ones made a constant high pitched whirring noise from the panel and then i read reviews on how auto thermostat functions on them arent even that reliable anyway. Like with digital or non digital, it occasionally makes a loud pop/crack sound after you lower or increase the temp but its not a dealbreaker since its so infrequent with the non digital. I just set mine and forget it. On the digital ones however the constant turning on and off of the unit when on energy saving mode, does make startlingly loud pang noises a lot. The noises are loud enough to wake you from your sleep. In the end it was just simpler for me to go with this one and save the $30+ extra dollars. The digital functions really werent worth it for me. Youd have to worry about potential malfunctions with the panel on the digital ones down the lin too. I got this one while on sale and it works reliably for my room needs. I recommend it for medium sized and maybe large enclosed rooms.

I've had this heater for about two months now. At first, I didnt like it much. I thought it wasn't working properly and was going to send it back. But I soon realized that if you leave it on at its highest settings, it will provide a warm even heat throughout the lower level of my condo, which has an open floor plan. I live an a region with good weather but it does get cold in the winter (into the low 40s sometimes). After continual use I noticed how warm and comfortable the indoor space was when I would come inside from outdoors. What I like most is the spread of the warmth. It's not just warm near the unit; the heat spreads evenly throughout the space. So, I'm pleased and am confident that this unit would be even more effective in a smaller, contained space, like a master bedroom or smaller bedroom. In those spaces, I'm sure you could lower the unit's settings (there are several) and its thermostat and still get good, even warmth. I recommend but suggest you give the unit 30-45 minutes to do its job and you'll start to notice the chill leave the space. Smaller spaces will need less time. Use the thermostat and switches at full blast to start with and then adjust downward from there.

I bought two of these one for the master bedroom and one for the bathroom. Other and more expensive digital units only allowed you to set how long the heater stays on but I found none that allowed you to set the on time. The digital units can't be place on timers because once the power is shut off they can not be turned back on unless you push the power button on the heater. These manual controlled units work perfectly with the two timers I listed below. The bathroom unit uses the insteon outlet and is set to come on every day at sunrise and turn off around noon. The bedroom heater uses the GMYLE timer and is set to come on only when the temperature outside drops below 32 degrees. We have a heat pump upstairs which is a very efficient HVAC system but gets very expensive to run once it gets too cold outside (heat strips vs heat pump). With just 2 of us in the house it make sense to just heat the one room instead of the whole upstairs especially during the extremely cold days. Oil heaters take longer to warm up a space but if planned accordingly (timers) they are much more energy efficient to use then the ceramic heaters. Ceramic heaters produce instant heat which is instantly gone once you turn the heater off and are very expensive to use ( I conducted my own test too using an electrical watt meter). If you haven't used one before, electric radiators are the slow-and-steady form of heat for your home or office. They don't warm up the space as quickly as heaters with fans, but they do it silently and well. Takes more minutes, but they do an incredible job of keeping a space warm inexpensively once the desired temp is reached. I'm using it in a bonus room that's become my home office. I had a heater with a fan, but got tired of hearing it, or having to turn up the volume on things to hear over the sound of the fan. Switched to this radiator, and it's been great. I run it on low when I need it, I've never had to turn it up past that, and as long as you don't mind waiting a few extra minutes for the room to warm up, it's just what you need.

Love this heater. Works quietly and quickly. Holds the heat and I don't have to worry about it catching anything on fire. Highly recommend

I bought this heater for my daughter as her HVAC decided to stop working during the heavy snow storm that hit most of the nation. She said it was easy to assemble and she plugged it in. She was initially concerned because there was no blast of instant heat. However, she later realized that slow and steady this little heater works and will warm up a room comfortably and keep it warm. It works very well. It's also very safe with its timer features and if knocked over will not set things on fire - important because they have a daughter and pets!

I converted a garage, temporarily, to a TV room while we live in a small condo for a year. I use this to heat the garage. It is working great for that purpose. has three heat levels 600, 900, 1500 watts. I am using the 900 watt level. I did build an insulated wall against the garage to make the room airtight. This was so you have a point of reference as to how large a room this will heat. the garage is 20 x 25. Adjustable thermostat, it is on wheels, and it does not have a remote control

LOVE this wonderful heater!! I bought it when the central heating blew a fuse and we had to wait for the repair. It was such a revelation to see the contrast between the dryness the central air caused vs the nice moist air the oil heater didn’t interfere with. Whole is is still necessary to heat the whole house with the central air, I now use the oil heater in my bedroom, with much less central heat overall -especially at night - and our bills have gone WAY down. Our new oil heater provides lovely radiant heat on a very consistent basis and even my dogs like to curl up near it, it’s so toasty. The less dry air is great for my skin and I sleep so much better it is so consistently warm and because it is soundless. A+

Easy, safe and reliable. Puts out a lot of heat without a lot of hot air blowing. Radiates the room and is a comfortable heat. I used it to warm an insulated 600 sq ft room with 13 foot ceilings. Takes a while to get to temp but once there it can hang no problem. Pretty big room for one relatively small radiator. One note, you do have to keep checking on the setting based on outside temperatures the device might need to be turned up or down. That was my experience.

This had been wonderful for my teenage girls room. Keep the roam toasty and is safe. They are old enough to know not to touch it while on or you can burn yourself. My cats don't try to lay in it either. Works for my family. Not sure if this is good for families with small children unless it is behind a barrier.
