The directions are pretty easy once you get used to using the remote. The remote takes 6 AA batteries. The drone itself requires a rechargeable 3.7v lithium battery which is included. Sharper Image - Drone Mach comes with a USB charging cord as well. I love this drone because you can do live streaming. You can also capture panoramic videos and photos. I definitely would recommend this product if your looking into using drones.

You must calibrate it otherwise, the drone will have a mind of its own and fly away. I don't think many know that and that's why this drone gets so many bad reviews. I'm pretty impressed otherwise but calibration takes time so half your battery life is gone and you can't use the drone as long as you'd like to. That's why I deducted one star. The camera is very sharp and clear. I didn't expect the quality to be that good. I find the controller to be very sensitive so be careful when taking flight. All in all I enjoyed this drone. Just be sure to Calibrate every time and you'll have fun too!

Has a built in rechargeable lithium battery as well as a remote control. Has many great features and a 150 ft radius and captures terrific videos.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am no expert with drones. Actually, I have had only one drone before this drone and it did not have any camera capabilities. When I got this drone, I was excited to download the app and get to flying. The app worked flawlessly and I was up and exploring. It did not take long to adjust for drift and hover without the drone going wherever it desired. Even with my limited experience flying a drone, I was have great success flying around my yard. I will keep it low and slow until I get more experience, but in the mean time, I am have fun with this little drone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves to observe animals and nature so this was perfect for him. This drone is pretty easy to set up and use. It reaches a maximum altitude of 120 feet and has a range of 250 feet, and is able to take both panoramic photos and videos. Great quality and perfect for a starter drone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 6 year old was looking forward to trying out my drone. It became apparent quickly why it's recommended for age 14+. The remote is pretty tricky and it takes a while to figure out how to fly the drone. After some practice it's pretty fun though. On a full charge we get about 25 min of flying time. The camera/video only produces grainy/blurry imaging and was a bit of a disappointment. Otherwise a fun toy for teenagers and adults.

It does fly really high and super simple to move around, it does take some finesse to keep it stable, and was able to take a bit of beating from our 7 year old son before figuring it out but once we got the hang of it, it’s a blast. It comes with an extra pair of reflectors which is awesome, since again, takes some finesse to get it just right, as with any flying remote control object. The drone itself it super lightweight, easy to carry around to location in order to fly above and then watch on the App itself live streaming. The camera streaming is clear and seems like good quality. I wouldn’t recommend this for any younger than age 7 honestly, it even took myself and his Father Time to get accustomed to figuring out how to control, we did practice indoors over carpet. Because of the time it took us to figure out the control and how to keep stable, I’m only taking 1 star off, otherwise, it’s a nice started drone, especially with the option to live stream. Love that we got it from a reputable company too, Shaper image has been around the block and this is a hit with out family.

This drone is great, it flys so smoothly and the camera quality is good as well, my daughters love this drone it is a great item for them to play with outdoors when they are done studying after having a long day of work, we really love this product, it's brilliant!
