I've wanted this speaker for a long time. I've come across a few of them before, but never had one of my own. I use it by the pool and the quality of sound is awesome. The battery lasts all day and it charges quickly. It is worth the money, especially if you find it on sale. The speaker has been splashed, and dropped and still works fine.

I’ve always had Bose in the past and the only reason I went JBL is because its waterproof and as a commercial fisherman, I’m about to start working on crab gear outside/on the coast/obviously it will be raining!I haven’t put it to the test out there yet, but sound quality and bass and clarity even at its highest volume is SUPERB. FOR THE MONEY... it exceeds Bose in my opinion. Very impressed.

Great product! They run expensive. I had a similar model that got lost or stolen so I am just replacing it. The sound is full and clear. The charge lasts a long time. Very nice unit. You get better results if you place it near, but not touching, a reflective surface (wall or something) and not just out in the open. I even used it in my '03 Subaru on the dash sometimes and it was better than the old stock speakers in that car.

I bought this little speaker so I can use it outdoors, I do have a Bluetooth device and it paired up without any problem. I’m surprised in the quality of sound it puts out for its size but it’s not the top of the line. This speaker will get a lot of use throughout the year, I listen to music a lot. Since it is Bluetooth I can listen to all of my playlists I’ve created so I’m thrilled about that. Overall I’m happy I bought it, the price was affordable and again the quality of sound is good enough for me, I didn’t want to spend the money for a better quality speaker at a overpriced amount of money.

I purchased a Flip 5 to use in the pits at our local race tracks and for camping trips. It sounds great, it is easy to use, and I like the looks. I really enjoy watching the news or a comedy show on my iPad when I prepare dinner and the flip 5 provides a nice boost in volume when the sink or the exhaust hood is running. On that note, I also use it at work in the morning when I am alone in the kitchen to listen to the news. The sound cuts nicely through the hoods, the hum of the refrigerators and freezers, as well as the sound of convection ovens. No buyer’s regret! I have not exposed the Flip 5 to water but at this point I would highly recommend this Bluetooth speaker.

There is a reason that this speaker is so heavily reviewed with 5 stars, it is an incredible little speaker! Sounds quality is great for it's size, and it can get very loud and remain clear. Very easy to use. If I had to choose one thing I wish it had, would be to have an external aux plug-in. But obviously this is designed to be used over Bluetooth and it excels at that. Not much more to say, if you are in the market then buy one. You will not be disappointed.

I wasn't sure I was going to like the Flip 5 and I don't...I love it and I'm sure my wife does also because now I don't have my computer speakers with wires running around the dining room so I can listen while I'm in the kitchen prepping or cooking, it sounds so good I'm going to buy another to use like stereo because I'm all about good sounding music and now I just turn it on, pick my music and put it right on the counter near me. I put it right in the corner and it kicks up the sound a little so it sounds even better, I'm pretty sure you wont be disappointed.

Sounds great and connects easily via Bluetooth and the party boost function is excellent. Used this one and two others at a reception in a triangle fashion at different points of the room and the sound was great. Several commented that they couldn't believe all the music was just from those 3 speakers and asked what kind they were. They did lose connection a few times after long play periods, but were easy to pair back up with the party boost button. Overall very impressed.

Update - got the Sony Walkman MP3 and the JBL FLIP 5 syncs perfectly! Pretty good speakers for cost and what they are. My only issue is the mp3 player will not sync to them which is why I bought it. Everything else syncs perfectly to the Flip 5 so i am guessing it is the mp3 player. May have to get a better player. Bought these because I do not want to answer phone calls with the speaker. I want to listen to music and uninterrupted. With the volume of spam calls I get, I do not what the phone calls coming through the speakers.

Powerful, vibrant sound and excellent battery life for a day by the pool/on the beach. I purchased as a replacement for a JBL FLIP 4 (also was a great speaker). Size is easy to carry (7" long) and audio quality is great even when turning up the volume. Accidentally dropped in the 4' deep part of the pool and didn't have any issues- still works fine (although I do not recommend trying this). USB-C (Thunderbolt) charger makes getting a full charge much faster than the MicroSD charger on the FLIP 4 as well.
