What a great sounding speaker. It has enough volume for me, it was pretty loud indoors and it wasn't even at full volume. I haven't had the opportunity to test its waterproof ability yet, that will happen this weekend on a kayak trip.

This speaker sounds great and pairs very nicely with my phone. It also meets my water resistant requirements.

I have always trusted JBL as a premium name in Audio. I wanted to buy something like this for my mother for Christmas as we are both into listening to music. She has absolutely loved it. I wanted to buy BOSE but was out of my budget. But with my trust in JBL due to past experience, I was able to find this within my budget. It produces clear, quality sound and even at high volumes. I absolutely recommend this Speaker.

This is my 2nd JBL speaker, and I love it. Bought it to replace old JBL Charge (1st gen). The bass is great, connecting is quick and easy, it's lightweight and feels well made. Definitely 5 out of 5 stars, though I do have two minor gripes - 1) the battery indicator light only comes on for a moment when the speaker turns on or if you plug it in, so you can't just quickly check the battery level; 2) there's no real flat base to it, it's just bottom-heavy but still sort of round so unless it's on a flat surface it can roll around a little.

Took the JBL Flip 5 on a float trip where I capsized multiple times, and the speaker sat in a puddle for hours while paddling through the rapids. The Flip 5 continued to bellow out loud music no matter what happened on the river. Kept the speaker on full volume for an 8 hour float and still had enough battery life to continue on through the night. Sound quality was quite impressive for what I put it through. However, it doesn’t have a booming stereo sound, it does provide a nice loud sound with a slight bass to it due to the woofers on each end, giving a solid production of quality sound loud enough where the whole group could enjoy. Very happy with the purchase.

I bought 2 of these and connect them in stereo using the JBL Connect app on my Ipad Pro and Google Pixel 3XL. It works in stereo on either one just fine. Sounds incredibly good. Great bass, midrange and treble. Sound like they are already EQed perfectly right out of the box. Great stereo separation as I can put the speakers far apart. They sound bigger than they are. You won't be disappointed.

It sounds great and it's loud enough to hear over the paint booth at work. The battery lasts a long time if you don't have it turned all the way up. The device pairing works too! You'll need to download the JBL app to connect 2 speakers at once.

Speaker packs a nice punch for the size. Bass response is great when you’re sitting in close proximity. However, at a distance, the sound does not punch as nicely. Bluetooth range reaches much farther than my previous cheaper speaker (at least 55 feet with no static). Also, I left this outside in the pouring rain one night by accident, and it still worked, so I guess it really is waterproof.

This JBL is great!! Sound is excellent and battery life is long. Arrived very well packaged and bubbled up. I am very pleasantly surprised on electronic purchases via Amazon lately. Best price also compared to tmobile store and target.

I’ve been planning to buy a jbl speaker for a long time. As a kid my mother had a huge jbl speaker that I loved, so I wanted the same experience with a fraction of the size. I’ve only had this for a day and I am blown away with what this tiny speaker sounds like. I’m probably gonna but this same speaker for the rest of my life. I haven’t tried the connect feature but I will once I get my hands on another jbl. I love mine so much (I got green camo)
