When it works it's great. We have had 2 of them die on us with less than a year's use.

I purchased this model a month ago, and after a few uses, the gasket which seals the two halves of the collection tank broke. I have been in back and forth communications with Hoover with no acceptable resolution in sight. They claim: - the part is no longer manufactured, and not in stock by Hoover (for a model they are actively manufacturing and selling brand new units as I write this) and I will have to purchase (at my own expense) the replacement from a reseller - that I can ship them my entire carpet cleaner to their repair facility (at my own expense) and they will replace THE ENTIRE MACHINE - that I can take it to an authorized repair center (not even close to where I live) for them to "fix it"Maybe the "warranty" options they offer work for catastrophic failure of a major component, but they don't for the incredibly shoddy parts like the gasket which they refuse to replace, an option which would cost them an incredibly small amount of money to do compared to all other options - except the one where I just pay for it myself, which is unacceptable. I attempted to find a replacement gasket online, but everywhere says it is discontinued and out of stock.Final update: after several dozen back and forth messages, they agreed to send me a replacement unit - a whole replacement machine - over a broken gasket - if I would cut the cord of the one with the broken gasket, and rip off the serial number sticker and provide evidence of both acts of destruction with photos & they wouldn't require me to send the crippled one back. When I replied asking about what the terms of my warranty would be for the replacement they only replied same term as the original. Then I got an order confirmation email for the replacement machine, and they wrote me off without the sacrificial destruction. So I guess I got the replacement part I needed after all...and another replacement part for every other part because it's a whole machine...what a waste of environmental costs, resources, money, time, effort & frustration all for the want of a replacement gasket. This isn't the outcome I wanted, not even close. I'd rather do BIFL purchases, but the singular cost of one of these carpet cleaners is less than I would pay for a couple rooms of professional carpet cleaning, and I get more use out of this carpet cleaner for emergencies, so that was the justification for buying this cheap thing even if it just fell apart and stopped working after a year. I wouldn't buy anything from Hoover ever again after this. Every other similar company has replacement parts for every small thing like this, and wouldn't blink an eye at sending out a replacement gasket, but I guess Hoover has decided to wholly adopt the disposable appliance mentality, and that's not a company I want to do business with.

the brush head does not appear to be working

Parts were missing . Had to return.

Comes with a lot of attachments. It cleaned our carpets really well. I was suprised at how well it actually worked compared to other ones i have tried. Its easy to clean as well. only problem now, it has since died after using it 18 times.

This did not clean / it smeared dirt and left it to dry on my carpet

Used it for the first time stopped working, not even finished with the first room. Called customer service had to take and drop off to be repaired. I have a half scrubbed carpet while waiting to get it back. Not going to buy online merchandise, better off going to a local store. I can check out return policy, and see what I'm getting.

I have used this carpet cleaner once. I own a small pet sitting business that I’m just starting out and really needed this product to work as I do not have the funds to buy another. I went to use it a second time and found that the handle release had popped out. I tried to put it back in, but then realized a piece of the plastic has broken off, and there is no way this piece will go back. I am very disappointed.
