The cheap rubber around the handle doesn't last long and breaks down quickly. But, once you have to eventually tear them off or put new ones on, the main hardware is solid and good. Mine arrived almost razor sharp, but I find the ergonomic handle is too large for most people, especially women. The handles of the pruners are nearly the size of 2 broom handles together and it makes using them feel uncomfortable and doesn't feel right in your hand. You also have to over-exert the pressure to squeeze them further while closed in order to engage what feels like a flimsy locking mechanism. I can see the lock and everything breaking off in a couple years from the stress. But, they work well, they appear to be made of good quality metal for the price, and I would recommend them with the caveats I mentioned above. My old Fiskars feel much better in my hand.
