Excellent Keurig

Coming from a k10 and k15 mini, I was very happy with the improved taste of this machine’s brew. I had none of the problems other reviewers had, perhaps because I had learned on the k15 to push the pod down on the bottom pin before closing the lid. This makes much cleaner holes in the top of the pod because it’s not shifting around as you close the lid.

Well Built

This is the 3rd Keurig brewer I've owned, and has the best construction. It has a quality feel to the materials, buttons, and K-Cup handle. The K-Cup compartment will automatically "level" the K-Cup, and punctures the K-Cup multiple times. This allows water to better saturate all the coffee, and you'll certainly notice the difference in taste. The "strength" button will release the water more slowly. I keep this on max. I have one memory preset to simply run hot water thru, for a cup of tea. I set the strength low, and temperature to max.

Best Keurig I have owned

Although i like coffee steeped and pressed, I have used many single cup brewers for the convenience. This is the best by far. The foot print is great, providing a Very sleek look in a unit with a large reservoir. I think there is something to the multistream technology as each cup seems bolder versus my old keurig with the same size brew and strength selector. It is new and time will tell, but my initials impressions are great.

Noticeable improvement in my coffee

This Keurig K-Supreme Plus Coffee Maker has made a noticeable improvement in my coffee, thanks to the multi-stream technology and the user customizable settings. So I have been using Keurig machines for my coffee for quite a few years now. Yes, a French press makes a more perfect cup of coffee but the convenience and almost instant gratification has made me a Keurig lover. When my old machine started acting wonky from time to time, I started looking at new machines. The 5 hole, multi-stream feature really stood out to me so I ordered. This is a very attractive machine with a stainless steel skin. It's compact but feels solid. I really like the clear plastic, 78oz, water reservoir with a handle for ease in refilling. I also love the controls on the top. The buttons are back lit and there is a small, LCD screen which shows your settings. You can set 3 levels of coffee strength and 3 levels of temperature, as well as 5 cup sizes (up to 12oz). You can even save up to 3 user profiles so you can brew a cup of coffee with your customized settings by touching only 2 buttons! It's also very quiet. But best of all, it punches 5 holes in the top of your K-cup, instead of just one. This really does make a big difference in the quality of your coffee! Also included was a reusable K-cup for using your own, ground coffee and a water filter holder with 2 water filters. (You cannot use older, reusable, K-cups with this machine because of the multi-stream feature.) When it arrived, the machine didn't work. I called Keurig for help and after troubleshooting, they said the machine was defective and immediately put in an order for a new machine to be sent to me. NOT a refurb - a new machine. Kuddos to Keurig's excellent, customer service department. The second machine works perfectly and we are thrilled with the improvement in our coffee. I have tried various brands of K-cups in this machine and it has no problem with any of them. If you are already a Keurig user, you will love this major upgrade with the multi-stream system. I have some concerns about how durable this machine will be based on reading reviews and my own experience with my first one being DOA so I debated about how to rate it. I decided to cautiously rate it 5 stars based on the performance, design, and excellent coffee my working machine makes but I will absolutely update this review if the machine should fail prematurely or I should begin to have any issues. And I strongly suggest using it right away so that if you have any problems, you can return it.

Upgrade your Kerrigan now!

We have had several variations of the Kerrigan coffee maker, but this is by far the best! The large capacity water unit with its convenient handle makes life easier. The instant on feature is probably my favorite, as waiting for the old one to warm up water was annoying. The size and strength options are much improved as well. The overall look of the stainless unit is much nicer than previous versions. The additional changes in the brewing head make an impressive difference and the indicator lights are a pleasant design improvement. Highly Recommend this unit!

Love this updated Keurig!!

For me there is nothing to dislike about this five-stream tech Keurig. I bought it as a Christmas present for he and I. Though we had a Mr Coffee Keurig and it still worked well, it was nearly ten years old, cleaning this older Keurig was a hassle, because it would make one think it had broken down...yet, Keurig does make a long-lasting product. Anyway, I decided to wait for a time before I wrote a review on this new one. It's worth the money, and I hope this one lasts as long and outlives my still-working Mr. Coffee Keurig. I haven't cleaned this new Keurig yet, but it makes a great tasting cup of coffee. My technology-challenged husband loves it, finds it very easy to use. 😊 Make sure you push the K-Cup hard enough that the bottom needle pierces the bottom. Otherwise, you will have overspill of water. Keurig and Co., Excellent job, thumbs up, keep up the great work. Thank you for this great product, and always striving for excellence in your standards to make a great cup of coffee. I hope this helps :)

Believe the hype

I really thought the claims about the flavor and the varying "strength" options were overblown. My much older Keurig finally went to that coffee shop in the sky, so I had to find a replacement. I looked at other types of makers (e.g. Nespresso), but for my use, the Keurig was the best fit. Looking at the different Keurig machines, I landed on this one (a lot of that had to do with my counter space and what would visually fit best). I saw the hype about the different ways it brewed, but I figured that even if it was like my old one, that would be fine. Well, I was wrong. When I did taste a difference (same pods I always use), I started experimenting with different sizes, strengths, temperatures, and boom! it really does make a difference. You can fine tune the maker to get the best flavor, etc. for you. Because of the comments about durability, I bit the bullet and got the warranty (which I never do because they do not make sense, typically). But, I felt better getting it because I was taking a risk with a relatively new design/product.

Careful When Descaling

Many bad reviews out there. People say it'll break during a descale. They are right, but there ways to prevent it breaking. Problem is poor engineering: an overheat sensor will be triggered and cause the brewer to stop functioning. This happens commonly during a descale because the brewer will let you run a "rinse" even when there is not enough water in the reservoir. When descaling, NEVER LET IT RUN LOW ON WATER. As an extra measure, NEVER BREW OR RINSE TOO QUICKLY BACK-TO-BACK. This could trip the overheat sensor. Wait 3-5 minutes between brews/rinses. If it does end up breaking, do a video search for how to fix it. If you're a handy person, you can disassemble it and re-engage the sensor to get it running again. Here's a tip for people saying it spills everywhere: When you put in the k-cup, before closing the lid, you gotta press it down until you hear a pop to make sure the bottom needle punctures the cup. The needle isn't very sharp so it takes alot of pressure to cause the puncture. Closing the lid without "pre-puncturing" might not puncture the bottom, and the water will just fill up the cup and not pour out the bottom resulting in a mess. The instructions don't say to push the cup down firmly, but it should. Now for the nice features. Best feature: the water handle! Silly, but that was my main reason for buying this. Other Keurig water reservoirs were designed for looks not for usefulness. A good old-fashioned handle solves this problem - who would have thought. Other great features: I like how the lid has fewer moving parts than older keuruig models. I like the stainless steel skin. The lowest temperature setting is hot enough for me. Anything hotter and you are gonna burn your tongue! This is subjective but, compared to my old Keurig - Keurig 2.0 HOT, it seems like the Sumpreme's medium strength setting is equivalent to the default (low) strength on Keurig 2.0. So it seems like with Supreme you could actually brew a weaker-than-normal cup if you wanted to. One thing I've noticed is that the supreme doesn't do the warm up when you turn it on. I like that! With old Keurig, I would have to wait for it to warm up before I could start the brew. With supreme, I can turn it on, start the brew and it would do its warm-up and then brew. It might seem "slower" because of this, but actually it saves me time. I don't have to stand there waiting for it to warm up before I can interact with it. I just interact right away, walk away to put a dish or two in the dishwasher, then come back and coffee is there. I'll report back if this thing ever breaks on me.

Best KEURIG Maker Yet

We have been using Keurig coffee makers for over a decade ranging from large multi-cup brewers to the single cup variety, that being the most recent in service. When I saw the ad on Amazon, I was intrigued by the features and options this unit offered, so same was ordered to replace a perfectly sound single cup brewer. I have not been disappointed by any feature offered by this new single cup coffee maker. The program options available are easy to implement in terms of size, temperature, and taste and deliver what is expected. The water reservoir is a nice addition to the single cup line. Operation is the height of simplicity; turn it on, select your brewing preference, press the flashing "K" and that's it. Freshly brewed coffee in about 30 seconds (though I confess to not running a time trial). This is a well designed, user friendly device that gets one off to a good start. Living in Baton Rouge, we are partial to the rich South Louisiana blends, but abstain from offering any endorsements as our fellow citizens at the other end of the Mississippi might think they've been poisoned. We guarantee such a reaction cannot be attributed to this latest Keurig brewer.

New Keurig vs. Old Keurig: Get One

This review answers the basic question: does a new Keurig with multistream feature make tastier coffee that a regular old Keurig? Short answer (based on my non-scientific testing), is YES. Multistream shoots multiple hot water streams into the coffee pod to extract more flavor, whereas the traditional Keurig only has one stream. In both cases I used the reusable K-Cup containers with my own coffee and both took around 1 minute and 15 seconds to brew. I have always felt the traditional Keurig produces slightly watery coffee, but the multistream produced noticeably richer taste. Not like it was a flavor explosion, but enough to make the new purchase worthwhile. You can vary the strength and temperature on the multistream variant, but for the test I left them both on their basic settings, so I am confident you can produce even deeper flavors with some experimenting. I also use a cafe press to make coffee on occasion, and frankly, that it the gold standard in terms of producing rich coffee, but for quick ease of use, the Keurig is a simple morning choice. On a side note, the multistream is slimmer that the old Keurig and makes my counter look more open.
