For some reason, I can not find my phone with the tracker. Even when I test it right next to it, it wont work. I have checked everything, including the connection.

Bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas and by March the Tile no longer worked :( I like the idea of this, especially how it uses other Tile users to locate your wallet/keys/whatever when they're lost, but I just wish the product worked.

This tile battery is great. What's not great is, for months, Tile has been nagging me to replace it. The nagging is so aggressively bad that it interferes with use of my other tiles. They sure are greedy. Am I not intelligent enough to decide when to replace.

Ich gebe es zu, ich bin sehr chaotisch, frei nach dem Motto "Wer Ordnung hält, ist nur zu faul zum suchen". Aber manchmal treibt mich die Suche nach dem Portmonnaie, dem Hand und meinen Autoschlüsseln schon zur Verzweiflung. Irgendwann einmal hatte ich die kleinen Dinger entdeckt, die auf Pfeifen reagieren, leider eignet sich diese Variante nur für einen Schlüsselbund und auf Dauer ist es auch anstrengend, wie ein Vogel zwitschernd, durch die Welt zu laufen. Der Tile Slim Wallet Finder erschien mir, wie für mich gemacht, doch der Praxistest war dann leider nicht so berauschend. Die Installation der App ist unkompliziert und hat auf Anhieb geklappt. Doch man benötigt immer eine Bluetooth-Verbindung, die natürlich nicht überall verfügbar ist, wenn der Chaostroll wieder zuschlägt. Außerdem ist der Signalton sehr leise. Je nachdem, wo sich mein Portmonnaie gerade versteckt, meist einfach in einer meiner zahlreichen Taschen, ist es nicht mehr hörbar. Auch ein Batteriewechsel ist nicht selbständig durchführbar, somit ist der Tile Slim Wallet Finder gewissermaßen ein Wegwerfartikel. Für wirklich extrem wichtige Gegenstände würde ich deshalb ein Gerät mit Tracking-Funktion empfehlen, wer, wie ich einfach nur die Sachen öfter mal verlegt und nicht verliert, hilt vielleicht doch nur das konsequente Umdenken und Ordnung halten.

When placed in a wallet the Tile Slim is muffled, so the default volume is difficult to hear from any meaningful distance. No ability to increase volume. That is a critical design flaw. But the other features work just like the small tracker.

In my case, the Tile Slim solves exactly one problem (finding my wallet using my phone), but only in the best-case scenario.Setup was pretty easy. The app guides you through the process, and although I found the language and iconography unclear at times, I was up and running in under 5 minutes.In case it's relevant in the following reviews, my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S6.I'll cover finding your phone using Tile, first, because it's the shorter of the two:Finding your phone with Tile just works. Double-tapping the Tile's button has my phone ringing almost instantaneously, even if the ringer is muted. Silencing the ringer once I've found my phone is simply a matter of tapping the notification that appears on the screen. That said, this isn't a problem I need solved. I already have two solutions for finding my phone: Google's Device Manager, and Samsung's Find My Mobile. Whether you're with Apple or Google, you already have a mechanism for finding your phone, and don't need Tile to fill the gap for you.Now, for finding your Tile using your phone:If you're far away from your Tile, the 'last seen' functionality works pretty much as advertised. The Tile app doesn't use much battery, so I don't mind having it running in the background at all. I'm confident that this functionality would be a big help if I was ever separated from my Tile and needed to find out where I'd left it.My experiences with finding my Tile when it's nearby, though, have been pretty abysmal. I keep my Tile in my wallet, which is inside my bag. That scenario alone already reduces the Tile's volume to whisper-quiet. If my bag is then in another room, I absolutely cannot hear it. In order to find it, I have to walk around my house and listen very carefully.When the Tile is too quiet to hear, the folks behind tile recommend using the Proximity Sensor functionality. I don't know if it's just my phone or what, but this functionality absolutely does not work for me. The bar indicating the Tile's proximity is seemingly random when I attempt to use it—it'll go up and down arbitrarily, regardless of whether I'm moving closer or further away. Sometimes it sits at 80% when I know I'm right next to my Tile; sometimes it sits at 10%.I'll still be keeping my Tile in my wallet, because it's marginally more convenient than not having it there. But I really don't think I can recommend buying it.

Die Idee von Tileslim fand ich eigentlich nicht schlecht. Wie oft suche ich meine Geldtasche und wünsche mir, dass sie rufen könnte. Mit Tileslim sollte das Realität werden. Man steckt die quadratische Karte, die etwa so dick ist wie zwei Kreditkarten, in seine Geldtasche, installiert die App am Handy und verbindet beides. Wenn sich nun die Geldtasche wiedermal versteckt hat, kann mithilfe der App den Lockruf aktivieren. Zusätzlich kann sich auch noch auf einer Karte ansehen, wo der letzte bekannte Aufenthaltsort des tile ist. Dies funktioniert allerdings nur wenn man das Handy dabei hat, es mit dem tile verbunden ist, und man am Handy auch noch GPS aktiviert hat.Soweit so gut, im Testbetrieb hat mich das tile leider nicht überzeugt. Zunächst hat alles gut funktioniert. Handy und tile wurden ohne Probleme verbunden, der Test-lockruf hat funktioniert. Der nächste Test war schon etwas durchwachsener., zunächst hörte ich gar nichts, nach einer Minute dann aber plötzlich doch. Als ich am nächsten Tag meine Geldtasche tatsächlich suchte, dachte ich mir kein Problem und aktivierte die App. Laut Anzeige alles OK, Handy und Tile sollten miteinander verbunden sein, nur mit dem Signalton war leider nichts, 15 Minuten warten und kein Pieps. In der Zwischenzeit hatte ich die Geldtasche natürlich selbst gefunden und sie direkt neben das Handy gelegt, aber selbst das hat nichts geholfen. Auch die GPS-meldung ist nicht zuverlässig. Laut der Anzeige in der App soll sich das tile vor einer Minute noch einem Ort befunden haben, den ich schon vor Stunden verlassen hatte. Ich habe das tile mittlerweile wieder aus meiner Geldtasche entfernt und die App deinstalliert.
