If only it had a wider range for your own tile (not needing others to find it for you), it'd be a perfect 5.

The slim tile complements the range well, sits fine in my wallet (which I recovered twice already). Easy to use interface and fool-proof setup. Highly recommended

So far, so good.Everything seems to be working as advertised. The Tile Slim activated and paired without issue.I am not a fan of the non-replaceable battery though. I will make the decision in a year whether to replace the entire Tile or go with one that has a replaceable battery

I’m not clear on the GPS aspect... because it just beeps if you activate it. Maybe there is a map interaction, but I really think this is more like a pinging for you to hear it and find it that way than an ACTUAL GPS tracker. Maybe I’m wrong. But it’s not worth it to drain my battery by keeping location services on to beep at myself. Hope this helps!!

After using it a few times, I love the idea of it, but the execution requires refinement. First the good stuff is that it's pretty thin but still noticeable since it's about the thickness of 3 credit cards and about 2/3 the length of a credit card. It's pretty lightweight so you won't really notice it at all. The thing is, the battery life only lasts about a year after which you would have to send it in to Tile to replace the whole Tile for a fraction the cost of a new one so that you can live another year knowing where your things are. This version is non-stick so it just slides into your wallet, you can probably get a 3M adhesive or Tile's only adhesives to stick this on other stuff like your laptop. The Tile app allow you to add both your phone and Tile to your account so you can find your phone or Tile with the online app from your computer, or find your Tile from your phone app, which is a nice added feature. Pairing the phone to Tile is pretty easy, just get the Tile app first, then press the Tile button on the tile. Bluetooth has to be on your phone for it to stay paired with Tile.Finding the Tile: it's mainly by sound of a variety of pre-programmed ringtones, I don't think you can add your own tones yet. It's not incredibly loud, but you'd be able to find it if it was quiet enough in the house and you were relatively close by. The map on the app shows you the area the Tile is in, but it doesn't tell you if you're close or far from the Tile within that circle, so you'd have to listen carefully. If you're like me and have your Tile in your wallet, which might be in your jacket pocket and you left all of that somewhere, the sound will be significantly muffled.Overall, I like using it, and after another few months/year that this one works, I'll see if it gets even better.

Having considered the previous iteration of the Tile for other purposes, I was pleased to have an opportunity to review this product prior to purchase.Overall, I'm impressed, the device pairs with the phone (iPhone 6) easily and quickly, with no bouncing over to the Bluetooth settings, etc. Once paired, the simple device works correctly - you double press the button on the Tile, and your phone "rings", and if you use the app, you can "ring" your Tile.So why not 5 stars? Here's why:1. This "slim" tile is still a little thick to go into my wallet - about the thickness of 2-3 credit cards - it would be ideal for a keyring, except they neglected to put an attachment hole on this model.2. The whole unit must be replaced when the battery dies - life expectancy is 12-18 months.If you're someone who routinely misplaces your phone or your wallet / purse, it could come in very handy. If not, it's probably not money well-spent, particularly in that you're replacing the unit annually.
