I bought this and the Tile Sport. Its day 1 and they have only worked about 50% of the time if that at the same time. Usually my phone will at least recognize one and usually its The Slim. I can have the Sport beside it for any hour and it will not find it. Other times it does find both. At this point its unreliable. Tile Customer Service was horrible. I will give it a few more days and if they don't magically improve I will return them. ONE MONTH - My experience has improved. This would be better if it had a longer range like the sport. This one has a very short range. I'll likely not retile this item.

I purchased tile after losing my wallet. After going through the trouble of replacing all the credit cards, drivers license, and other IDs, I didn't want to have to go through that again! But when I couldn't find my wallet this morning - and it wasn't in my golf bag - the last place I remember putting it last night, I remembered that I had the tile! I went to the app on my phone, and despite the fact I keep my phone and wallet together most of the time, the tile app said the last known location was 29 days ago!!! Bluetooth is supposed to reach at least 30 feet, and the tile information says 100 feet! So I have not found this product helpful

I purchased 5 Tile Mate's and 2 Tile slims. Contrary to the guarantee, none have lasted a year and some have lasted no more than 5 months. Minor issue if the battery is replaceable, big issue if it is not. Also, they periodically loose connection (the can not be located even when it is sitting on the phone) and have to be reconnected. Usually I find out about this when the something I want to find is lost. Not sure if the time saved looking for lost things balances time lost messing with the tiles. So one star for the product and I'm looking at other products. Giving them a second star for their service, (so far) they have replaced the defective tiles.

Tech friend and I worked to set this up and found it incredibly difficult BECAUSE: When the app and tile were both in place we repeatedly attempted to activate and repeatedly received error messages. We then sought out the Tile chat room recommended on Help and it was never open. We then emailed company and waited several hours for a reply. The reply arrived just as I was about to cancel and return. Turns out we were supposed to turn off cell phone for TWO minutes to activate (not in directions.) When that worked i was so pleased i ordered a second one (the Mate) next day I showed off the Tile to friends with great bravado. Of course, it did not work even though the tile and phone were only a couple feet apart. later in the day it worked, then it didn't then it did... giving two stars because this is a good idea not yet ready for prime time.

The locator works when it wants to. Finally this weekend when I lost my wallet, I opened up the app to see the last place it was. Unfortunately, the last place was logged over a month ago and I had no idea where I left or dropped my wallet...the grocery store? the parking lot at the store? my apt? the parking lo of my apt? This might have been helpful. Instead I have to replace all of my credit cards, pay extra for expedited deliver, replace my medical cards, and DL which both cost money...basically I threw away the cost of the Tile ($30) plus over $60 in expenses to replace the contents of my wallet AND the $30 inside of it. I just wish I had a clue where the wallet was last. It would help me focus where it could be...the whole reason I bought the thing. Instead I am out over 3 times the value of the Tile Slim. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY

Update #2 (12/10/19): The screen on the app that forces us to turn the Location Services to "Always on" has "magically" disappeared. Perhaps they are listening? I'm going to leave my rating at 2 for now. I'll see how this plays out. A week or so ago, I booted up the App and saw a screen I had never seen before. The screen insisted that I change the "Location Services" setting for Tile to "always on." The App would not let me proceed to finding my items until I had done so. As I recall, Apple has insisted that Apps allow users to have control of these settings and I had Tile set to "While Using the App." That way, Tile was not tracking my Location when I was not using the App. I wrote to Tile and went back and forth about this. They insist that having the App on all the time is important. It may be important to them, but it should be up to users to decide. I fear that Tile is simply turning into another company that pretends to be about providing a service, but is in fact, just another company trying to monetize our whereabouts. This is a slippery slope and Tile seems to be sliding rapidly down the hill. They have been clear with me that they intend to fix this. I don't plan to buy anymore Tiles.

It MIGHT find your wallet if you were only two feet away from it. Otherwise, you'll never hear the barely-squeaking little Tile.

The product does not always connect with my iPhone 6.

This product is a waste of money. If your wallet is not around you, the tile will not track.

battery life is way too short for what you're dishing out for these things and what they really do.
