Handy little device, however I don't like the fact I can't replace the battery, and I have to buy one every year.

Wish it were louder. The sound gets lost in my wallet & purse. It does a good job of tracking though.

I love this bit had one previously that didn’t last very long. Fingers crossed as this is a heaven send for me and my keys

I like how efficient it is and how it works, but I still hate that the wallet "slim" tile is too big and thick. I can't really fit anything else in it because it's too thick and huge.

Great product. Works great. I don't like having to "retire" a tile after a year and then buy a replacement. A competitor, Track-r, allows you to change the battery yourself! No need to constantly buy replacements.

I like the Tile Slim. My credit cards are no longer bent but the range on the Slim is significantly less than when I had a Gen2 in my Wallet. The find phone button is way to easy to push as well leaving me with a phone doing the tile sound loudly at random times when walking around.

The slim looked great from the pictures, but then when I got it, the sheer size of the Slim was a big drawback. It's slim alright, but it's tall and wide. It's like they took the original tile and flattened it out.Still, I wanted to give it a shot, but there were many things going against it that were hard to ignore.1. No adhesive included Tile says you can adhere tiles to items, but they don't include an adhesive. Seems like they shouldn't put that as a big point if an adhesive is not included.2. Too big for my wallet. I have a slim wallet, and the Tile Slim doesn't fit in it.3. How often are you looking for your wallet vs you keys? I've used my regular key fob Tile many times to find my keys. I'll misplace my keys all the time. That doesn't happen with my wallet. If you're someone that really doesn't misplace your wallet, you're not going to be needing the Slim (like you would the Tile key fob). Even more for a purse or briefcase, backpack, or bag. It's less likely that you'll be misplacing something so big on a regular basis, unless... ...Unless you a traveling or using it to keep track of something that the kids consistently misplace. Here's where I see the Slim coming in handy being placed in a purse, or backpack. There's one problem with this, highlighted in #4.4. The speaker is not loud Our Tile Key fob is loud. There are three holes in the back of the key fob tile to let the sound out from the speaker. The Tile Slim has only one small hold in the back for the speaker. It's just not that loud, especially when compared to the Tile Keyfob. In testing, I had to be in the same room to pick up the Tile Slim (when it was placed inside a drawer)--not so with the Tile Keyfob. I can be a lot further away and pick up the Tile Key fob's sound.5. It doesn't have a keychain loop opening After unpacking the Tile Slim, I immediately wished that it had the ability to attach it to a key ring. It's not the purpose, true, but just the added design element would have opened up it's uses.6. Non-replaceable Battery It's another beef with both Tiles we have. You can't replace the battery on your own, but have to buy a new Tile when the battery runs out after a year. Stinko. I have a fitness tracker that's slimmer than the Tile Key Fob, and not nearly as large as the Tile Slim, and it has a removable/replaceable battery. Tile seems like it would be the type of company to allow for consumer replaceable batteries, but it doesn't. It feels like such a waste and a money grab.ConclusionUnless you lose your wallet a lot, and you could fit a Tile Slim in it, I'd stick with just the regular Tile. It's much more versatile, loud, which makes it easier to find, and even though the regular tile is thicker, it's got a smaller length/height footprint.

Hello. I have been a Tile kickstarter contributor and user since 2013 when the company first launched. Tile promised many features when the product first launched. A few of the features originally promised as detailed below on items 1 and 2 have not come to fruition in the final product.1. Originally, Tile promised to have a feature that would ring the tile and provide an audible notification both on your phone and on the tile itself if a tile disconnects from your phone by leaving your vicinity. Up to this point, Tile has not added this feature. My understanding is that TrackR has implemented this feature. This past weekend, I had my wallet stolen from me that contained a Tile Slim. The app helped by identifying exactly when it was stolen from me, but since it was not able to provide me notification on both the tile and my phone at the exact moment my wallet was stolen, I was not able to catch the person who did it.2. After this wallet was stolen, I have been keeping an eye on the location of my stolen wallet and its location has not been updated since it was stolen 22 hour ago. I reported it lost in the App about 4 minutes after it was taken. It was stolen from me in a relatively urban area of the country (Lakewood, CA), so I would hope that whoever took it would unknowingly walk past another user of Tile and anonymously update the location to me. I am very disappointed that it has not in this case.3. All 3x tiles I currently use (including the one that was stolen) are a bit old and low on battery, but still functioning. I have replaced my Tiles many times since 2013 and consequently have experienced a significant cost difference to me than I would have seen with a competitor like TrackR with their replaceable batteries. I might be willing to accept this cost difference if I saw greater value than the competitor but I am not seeing that in this case. Tile does generally have better product quality by being louder and be much more resistant to water than TrackR. In my extended experience using these products, Tile ringing volume and reliability does matter! However, since it has not been able to help me at all in this stolen wallet case where others might have been able to, I am very disappointed in the value the product provides to me in the end.I do like what Tile has attempted to provide as a company, but if Tile does not add these features to help me prevent theft and/or locate the stolen item after theft, I am going to recommend a competing product like TrackR that has these key features.

NOT a live GPS tracking device. This device piggy backs off of your smartphone's bluetooth/GPS, it basically saves your location every few seconds. For example if you drop your wallet (with tile in it) and then pull it up on a map you will see it's last known location. This is great if no one stole your wallet, but if your objects are moved after the fact then there is no way to find them on the map. Likewise, if you place this in someone's car you won't be able to see where they are going or where they went. If you are within about 100ft of your tile then you can ping it with a ringtone and walk towards it, but other than that I didn't really use it.

I still lost my wallet with this thing. Do you know why? It works really well when you misplace it around the house, but if lost in public, there's no chance this will help you. First of all, I REALLY wish it notified you when the wallet was out of range. If it started beeping or whatever when I left the gas station, I could have retrieved the wallet right away. Unfortunately, I noticed it was gone about an hour later. The Tile did help me determine where I lost it, and it was the gas station. When I returned, the wallet wasn't there and the employee had no idea where it was. So that's that. Maybe if the range was a bit better than 30 feet, or my phone notified me when the tile was out of range, it would have helped me retrieve my wallet.
