I thought he point of the slim was to fit comfortably in your wallet but when you do you can barely hear it compared to the other tile products

I don't have confidence in this device. It doesn't always work. I'm new with the device and when I problem solve why it is not working, it will work...until the next time I'm looking for my phone and it just seems dead.

While the built in battery lasts, about a year, the tile works very well. But incredible as it sounds, once the battery is out you are forced to buy a new one. The manufacturer calls this process a "renewal" and tries to convince you it is a good thing that you cannot replace or recharge the battery.... What they want is to keep you captive so you buy them every year. But worst of all, they DON'T TELL YOU about this. Check their advertising and you will not find any mention of this "feature". Very bad !

Kind of useless in that the app can't find my wallet until I'm in the same room as it. Which really doesn't help me much when I still have to search around the house. Sometimes I'll find my wallet and hold it right next to my phone and Tile will still say it's searching. Pretty much only useful if it's hidden under something but not hidden enough to block the signal.

It's a great way to find your phone locally but the tracking function is inherently flawed. It works by looking to see where the app "Last saw" your phone. This means the app has to be running on your phone ALL THE TIME. This also means the BLUETOOTH on your phone has to be ON ALL THE TIME. I have tested and it cuts THREE AND A HALF HOURS off the battery life of my phone. Plus having your BT on all the time is a major security vulnerability. Why not use BT for locating it via the alarm speaker, and then use a GPS tag (very cheap) and or wifi/NFC to track/locate it that way? Makes way more sense from a technology perspective.Also I lose stuff a lot. Meaning that having it need my phone isn't very useful if I also lost my phone.Anyways, I'm now in the market a similar product that comes with a couple remotes instead of a phone app and/or uses GPS.

I'm a big fan of Tile, but I won't be using the Slim again. Mine cracked and broke up, was difficult to hear when it was lost, and sometimes wouldn't track at all when it was within range. I love the idea of the Slim, but maybe it needs to be a bit thicker or made out of a more durable material. I would also love to see a Slim Sport with better range than the current Slim.

I had high hopes for this device but it's been sitting unused since I downloaded the app, installed it and successfully located my wallet from my phone. In order for me to locate my phone from the device within my wallet, my phone must have BOTH bluetooth (understandable) AND location services turned on. I only use location services when necessary as it's a huge battery drain on my phone. Thankfully, this was a gift and I didn't waste any money on a good idea that was poorly executed. And what is this business about a Tile community? No thanks!

I bought Tile about a year and a half ago. It worked just great. Then, after a year, I started getting messages that it was time to replace the Tile unit, even though it was still working. I ignored the messages and continued to use it for about another 6 months. Then it wouldn’t allow me to keep using it until the batter ran out. Kept getting messages about replacing it. THIS IS PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE! Do not buy this product unless you are prepared to buy new Tile units every year. Most of the other key locators on the market have batteries that are either rechargable or replaceable.

When TILE first came out, I bought it and loved it. Saved me time at least 10 times over a year in finding keys. Then the battery started to die and I bought another. In a short time it stopped working and I bought the new one with the battery. That will find my phone but keys it just tells me "close by" and no sound. I've updated everything included my phone, rebooted, and still nothing. If there isn't a sound, it's worthless.I'll look elsewhere for another.

I wish I could say I liked these,but I’m truly disappointed in their audio loudness and range. I’ve “lost” my wallet and keys several times in the last few months and activated the ringer on from my phone. The app on my phone would tell me it was near, but the tile wouldn’t ring. Both times after finding my wallet, the tile was silent. I literally hand the wallet and keys in my hand before and the app would just say it was near. Even pressing the “find now” button the tile wouldn’t ring. The only thing this has been good for is to tell me it was in my house somewhere vrs lost in a store or something. I had owed the regular tile before, and those were awesome. These slims just seem to have extremely limited rang and their audio alarm is hit or miss.
