Well build desk or vehicle light with multiple color modes, dimming options & sits ontop a flexible/bendable arm which allows you to position the light as desired. Similar to the old Snake-Lights. Additionally, there is a device holder which fits devices a little over 4 inches wide. This also sits ontop a flexible/bendable arm. The grasping power of the desk clip is pretty strong. Also, holding-power of the flexible/bendable arms are equally pretty strong. However I've notice with my heavy phone of I clip the light onto my desk upside down so it's hanging, the arm can't really stay in place when holding my phone and will slowly drop in its position if you're not paying close attention to how the arm is positioned to strategically counteract the gravity effecting the flexible arm and defeating its holding power under the weight of device. I typically just keep the light and phone holder positioned so the arms point up. This defeats that issue. If I have to have them pointing down, I bend them downward instead of clipping them facing down and this works. I'm a computer and electronics technician so I use this often for many things. It works great as a book/ document scanner, helps with soldering and gives a second perspective with you're phones camera/zoom. I took a lens from an old VR headset and positioned it between two rubber I-Rings that are glued in the center of the ring which houses the Led bulbs. This turned my light into a magnifying glass with 3 dimmable color modes. I strengthened the phone arm by attaching my phone cable using a zip tie at the phone clasp and proceeded to wrap the cable around the arm which is tightly spiraling to the desk clip and tied with a thin wire at its base. This somehow has made it noticeably stronger for whichever reason. The springs are stiff inside the clasp that holds the phone so I also took them out, snipped a centimeter off each spring and replaced them. This added some play to the slide that positions to the size of the phone, making it easier to pull out vs fighting the stiff springs to fit your phone in. To fix the play and wiggle from removing a portion of the springs, I added the portion of the springs I cut off, back onto the slide but I put them on outside of its housing, opposite of the springs inside the clasp that slides out. This put tension on both the slide going out and all the way in. I have a larger phone so my case included made it difficult to pull the slide out because I was bottoming-out the springs and nearly compressed them to their max before my phone could slide in. If you have a smaller phone or use a thin case you won't have this problem but if you do it's an easy fix and not a problem but more of a hindrance when sticking your phone in because you really have to pull hard on the slide to fully compress the springs to allow for enough space to fit your phone into the clasp/holder.

Only used the ring light couple times. Pretty good quality and ring light works. Also the plastic phone holder is also sturdy.

The light is very bright but also has a dimmer option and 3 diff shades from cold to neutral to warm. YOu could totally use this just as a clip on desk light and be happy with it. The clip is strong and works well on a thick ledge/edge I have but seems a bit iffy on a thin short table edge I have. I think it would probably be fine on a longer thin edge though, just the edge of my desk is rather nubby. It holds the phone pretty well but you might have probs if you have very wide phone. I also took slipped off my rubbery phone case so it could grab better. The snaky part of the arms of the light and the holder are good. It charges only via USB to the computer, there is no wall plug. Could be a prob if you are low on USB ports or not near a computer. But overall I think it's a great deal for just $15.00.

This thing is bright and sturdy! I’m a YouTube tarot reader and have my phone or camera face down and the arms are so sturdy and stay in the position they are placed in. I spent $60+ on one previous and it broke in less than 2 weeks and I needed a replacement! Figured I’d get a cost effective one for the time being but no need! This is such a great find! I won’t even need to upgrade later.
