The arm for the phone isn't strong enough. Once you put your phone in, it begins to skin down to the counter. I can't use it to record anything. If you want something with a light that you can video record using your phone don't buy this. The ring light is excellent! I ended up clipping it to my desk and using the light for virtual meetings, so I am not dark on gloomy days.
