The official battery communicates with your battery to know when to throw charge out, and back off, maximizing the life of your battery. This isn’t a power bank, it is an extension of the battery in your phone designed to extend the life of your battery over time. If you pop the official magsafe battery on your fully charged battery at the start of day, you will have around 90% battery left and an empty magsafe. 3rd party banks cram power into the battery continuously, even when full and can’t communicate with the phone to find out if it’s over charging. You must keep an eye on them or risk damaging your battery/overheating. If you have the extra money and an iPhone 12, so you can fully enjoy the magsafe, this battery is the best choice.

Hello. I been using this for a few days and I want to make a several things clear about this battery pack before before I tell you all what I think about it - It’s a battery extender so it’s not meant to fully recharge your iPhone 12s and 13s. - If the battery capacity was higher it would make the battery pack much more bulkier and heavier so it would make it harder to carry when attached to your iPhone - This battery pack doubles as a wireless charging pad when it’s hooked to a USB Type C to lightning cable and 18 Watt or higher USB C adapter you’re able to charge your iPhone and the battery pack at the same time. - iOS integration. There’s a widget on iPhones that will tell you how much battery it has remaining in the battery pack so with iOS integration it will show you that compared to the rest of the battery packs. - It will not charge past 90% unless you enable it by going to low power mode and enabling it. Apple does it for battery health reasons. - The battery pack feels high quality. - It charges at 5 Watts when attached wirelessly to your iPhone to conserve battery health and not make the battery pack heat up too. I used this battery pack a few times on my 13 Pro Max and I was able to get a 43% extra charge on it. Apples purpose of this battery pack is to extend your iPhones battery while prolonging its battery health while making it simple to use. It’s never meant to fully recharge your iPhone, it’s meant to be extend your battery of your iPhone and prolong its battery health while being simple to use for those purposes Apple nails it. Most tech reviewers don’t get and some consumers don’t get it and complain about the battery pack not realizing it’s purposes. Overall I love using the battery pack and would recommend it to those that need a battery extender that’s simple to use, has iOS integration and can double as a wired charging pad.

I dont know why people post negative reviews and suggest other magsafe batteries. If you realize how this is integrated into iOS, which no other battery is, and all the safety features (others get HOT and this battery helps prolong your main internal battery). you would purchase this over the other brands. Also, it is not made to change your phone to 100%. You do want to have a phone that has power at the end of the day, and this will do that.

Even if other batteries offer higher capacity smaller size etc, the fact that it just works and works well is why it's worth the wait for Apple products.

This is a must, especially if you have the iPhone 13. The 13s battery is going to last a long time anyway. But if you're a heavy user like me you're gonna want extra and this gives me almost two days of battery of normal use and just over a day of heavy use. No complaints, all good, I charge them both together about once a day. Recommend

I'm a heavy user myself and sometimes I forget to charge my phone after a work day. The battery pack have a great iOS integration and the connection between the magnets on the phone is solid. That's a must buy!
