I've had this headset for 11 months. I've dropped it about five times accidently and there isn't even a scratch on it. Never had a problem with the mic quality and the sound is fantastic. The bass is rich and clean and the treble is discrete and very immersive when listened to during 7.1 compatible gameplay. Listening to streaming music is pretty darn good too. The removable ear pads are a plus and often I forget I have it on. The only caveat this headset has is the mic mute switch that is not a digital button. Mic muting makes a bit of noise through the mic sometimes but that is a miniscule criticism compared to the OUTSTANDING VALUE of this headset. 10/10 would be surprised last Christmas again!

I bought these headphones as I wanted a bit more immersion in my gaming. I intended to playtest these for a half hour and wound up losing 4 hours of my life later in Skyrim. Good: Easy installation - just download the drivers from Plantronics website, run, and you're good. Sound quality - distance, location, and crispness of the audio are very good. It doesn't replace a fully 5.1 or 7.1 sound system, but they are very good headphones none the less. Sturdy - All the connectors are solid, the length of the cable is more than adequate in most situations, and the build quality seems pretty good. Comfort - Didn't have a headache after sporting them for a long while. They sit firm without squeezing your brains out. The length is, of course, adjustable around the speakers. The ear pieces were large enough to fit without discomfort. Price - About the same, if not cheaper, than comparable products. Meh: Lack of documentation - to be clear, everything is online. I'm kind of a sucker for manuals, but it's no biggie really. Everything needed is online, but some paper would be good as a backup "just in case." Color - Not a fan of the BLAZING ORANGE USB cable, but it's nothing some colorful tape can't fix. Bad: Nada. Overall, the product seems pretty good. It works as intended and does what you would want.

I was using previous version Gamecom 780 for full 3 years, in that period they dropped accidentally at least 20 times nothing was broken. Unfortunately last time i stepped on them and they finally broke :(. Just bought Gamecom 788 and as i expected same quality and much better design. All recommendation for this headset, you never gonna regret it. Best headset in this price range and in my opinion even better then most of the more expensive models. This is a good headset. I'm on my second one, as the cord broke on the first. Good sound, good mic and comfortable once you break them in. A little stiff at first, but you really want that. Really hard to beat at the price - this is a review of the 780, which is the same hardware.

It's like taking the audio in a movie theater and putting it in a headset. IT'S GREAT!!

I have had this mic now for 2 years and let me just say best mic I have had by far. Has nothing wrong with it absolutly nothing and I use it for gaming average 9 Hours a Day. No speakers blown or anything.

Fantastic! I have using Plantronics headsets for years and this model did not let me down. Great headset, comfortable and the sound is outstanding.

I have bought the headset in March 2015 and I have been using them ever since. Out of all the USB headphones I have used, the Gamecom 788's were the most comfortable considering that you could adjust the size of it to fit on top of your head. If you are not a fan of leather headphone pads and do not want to replace them every few months, then this headset is a great alternative to that problem. With the Gamecom's 788, you could always take the cloth pads out of the headset and wash them. I bought these headphones because I am not a fan of headphones with leather pads as I find them uncomfortable especially in a hot room. The sound is top notch and crisp if you listen to a lot of music and or watch tons of movies especially if you listen to a lot of EDM like music or watch a lot of action movies. The bass feels pretty spot on too especially with the Dolby Surround Sound feature that you can press on and off at any time. If you do not have a desktop microphone, then the microphone on the headset is a great alternative or even as a replacement. Even though one cannot adjust the position of the microphone on the headset, the mic quality is up there especially for a USB headset, which makes it great for communicating, great for commentaries, and great for streaming. I recommend these headphones to anyone even if you are not the gaming type. The build and sound quality of the headphones is top notch.
