I bought the 780 based on the tech mags reviews to replace a Logitech G330 I have used for years. Both are USB but the sound quality of the 780 is clearly better. The Logitech was a lightweight, behind the head set, so the warmth and weight of the 780 takes some getting used to, but both the mic audio quality and headphone sound is very nice. Clicking on the dolby really does enhance the music when I'm gaming.

I've bought 788 Version 2 days ago after my 2.5 years old Logitech G35 broke without droping once. I've googled around and seen plantronics with perfect price and good looking design along with 7.1 Support. As soon as i plug it and downloaded drivers for 7.1 , i hit the different type of sound tests and amazed of every bit of it. I'm also a gamer and it's really perfectly fine for any fps games , you can hear everything around to lowest footstep. Mic is spot on as well . Plantronics is definitely a better headset (Audio Quality/Lighter&more comfortable) than Logitech G35. One negative it has from me goes to volume slider should have designed better as it makes noise (While moving your head) when not playing any sound. With sound you can't even hear it so not a big problem really. Also Software could provide more features but it only has 7.1 Enabled/Disabled and 2 pre-set EQ that you can switch. All in all , i like my 788 and thanks for the product! I love it :)

After using this headset for at the least 100+ hours I can clearly tell that this headset is a great buy especially for the price. Pros: - AMAZING MIC, seriously, I use this headset for video commentating/gaming and the mic surpasses my friends mic on his headset, of which he had to fork out double the price of amount I paid on this. - The sound is straight sexy. Playing games I can tell where foot steps come from easily. Explosions and gunfire make it sound like you're really out there on the battlefield (If you're into games like that). Music too sounds great through the headset. - It just looks great, the black and red pair together quite nicely to make a beautiful headset. Cons: - After long term use (2 Hours straight or so for me) the headset REALLY starts to hurt my ears as if it were squishing them, it's really not that bad as long as you take a 5 minute break every so often just to let your ears breathe. - Don't get me wrong, the sound of everything is AMAZING, but the headset isn't exactly packing the bass I hoped it would have. - Maybe it's just me or something but the settings that this comes with is far too simple for my liking. It literally gives you the option to enable or disable "Dolby" and besides that you can choose between "Gaming Mode" or "Music Mode". Maybe some people will like the easy to learn setup, but I thought it seemed unfinished. - It's possible that this problem is just a problem with my MOBO or something but very rarely, the sound coming from the headset sounds like a bunch of static forcing me to unplug and then plug back in my headset from my PC. The annoying part of this is in some games I'll have to rejoin a server or something because of the fact that sound will no longer come through the headset until I rejoin a new server.

These head phones were and still are great , however the head phone wires get tangled quite easily and it is annoying it is easy to untangle but is a pain but over all great.

I don't know if its just me but these cushions are itchy. I thought there were two different cushions with the headset like the other headsets I have. But thats the only contra point. Mic and sound are nice.

it works on windows 10, if you contact them they give you the beta program. Also the headset is really comfortable and the ear controls really useful, at first the volume control was difficult to use but at the end you get use to it.
