I wish that I had not ordered a "tapered" iron. Not what i was looking for. It is a bit difficult to get the hang of using this. Each time you wrap your hair around, it slides to the tip so it is almost impossible to get this curling wand to a science. I would recommend the one that is not tapered

Product worked well : and then the cord started to not supply power to the wand in certain angles. Have had this about 6 months and it will not stay hot as the power comes and goes : even when plugged in fully. Poor quality. Disposable product.

This had a ton of good reviews but I am not happy with it. I’ve never had an issue with my hair getting or staying curly. This one doesn’t seem to get very hot. I have a ton of fairly fine hair that is medium-long if that helps anyone’s decision.

I have fine, curly hair that holds style very well. I have never had an issue with curls not forming or falling out. I usually use my curling iron/wands on 325-340. I turned this almost up to 400 and held it on for double the time I usually do and my hair barely formed a curl. Overall, not a good product.

I have always loved hot tools, however, this iron was a disappointment. It would only curl my hair sometimes. It took twice as long to do my hair because I had to keep going over the same areas several times since it would not curl. Maybe it was just a bad iron.

Not sure why everyone seems to love this iron. I did like the temperature dial, and it seemed to heat evenly and quickly- but there were some serious design flaws. The barrel seems shorter than the tapered irons I have used in the past, which mean that I had to curl the top section, then the bottom section of each piece of hair. The taper is also almost non-existant. The narrow end is maybe a few milimeters smaller than the wide end. The curl did not hold well in my hair. Not a fan.

This product does not heat up to the temperature required to hold a curl. I have thick course hair and I have to hold the wand for longer than expected to get a wave to hold. The barrel seems like the right design. Disappointed as hot tools is usually a good product.

I have a hot tools curling iron and love it. I thought going with their brand of wand was the best choice. I was disappointed. It doesn’t matter if I have the heat maxed, how big or small of a section of hair or how long I hold it, the curls fall out within 10 minutes. I’ve tried putting a curl lock on before and hair spray after. Nothing helps them hold. Disappointed. :(

I was hoping I could really learn how to use one of these. I am no professional at doing hair, but this was not easy to use on my long hair even after putting in some product to make sure my hair didn't slide off the wand. I used the glove and tried to hold the hair in place, but I don't seem to have the right touch. Nothing wrong with the actual product itself, but would only recommend this to those that are gifted with styling hair unless you have the time to watch many YouTube videos and learn.

The kickstand was snagging in every curl and driving me crazy, so I took it out (easy enough to do) but now the screws where the kickstand went in just snag the crap out of my hair instead. So annoying. Shopping for a replacement now.
