The temperature dial says it goes up to 420, but I don't believe it gets nearly that hot. I find that it now takes me almost double the time to "curl" my hair, but because it doesn't get hot enough, I end up with a slight wave - not a curl by any means. I also find that the little stand that is attached to it, to keep it from touching the counter, gets in the way when curling my hair. As well, the top 1 inch (almost 1.5 inch) doesn't heat up, so there really isn't much room for your hair on the barrel. I would say I am disappointed with this purchase, as the reviews seemed to be good. I will be looking for a new wand to use in the future, and would not suggest this for anyone who is doesn't have an hour of extra time in the morning to spend doing their hair. I used to use a Revlon wand, and even with my thick, long hair, it took maybe 25 minutes to style my hair.. now it takes 45 to an hour.

The barrel on the curling wand was too thick for my LOB haircut.

It worked well, but died after only uniting it 3-4 uses... Disappointing.

Made my hair very frizzy. Did not work for me!

Ok but just doesn't get that hot compared to others

Not made for long thick hair :/

works well maybe for shorter hair people but if you have long hair i would suggest you get a longer one without rubber on top

Doesn't get hot enough to curl my hair. I usually straighten it with a chi flatiron with no problems. Really disappointed it didn't work out.

I had to try this - not sure why. I can't master it so it sits unused. I recommend using just a regular curling iron

I have medium/thick curly hair that holds curl very well. This was not good at all. I was very disappointed. It was not smooth, nor did it stay...just flattened out.
