Easy to assemble. Good value.

This is a good value. However, those shopping should know that to crank this up you will have the umbrella coming up in your face. Also, the crank does not operate smoothly; it has a lot of resistance when lowering the umbrella. Personally, I would prefer to simply manually open and close, but that is not an option. Easy assembly. Accurate description as far as size. Bright color. I did not rate sturdiness because I have not had it that long. The crank housing seems flimsy.

Too large for standard patio.

I loved the umbrella, beautiful, and worked very well. However, even though it is aluminum, the crank and the spines that hold the fabric don't appear to be. In their defense, I live on the water, so I have issues with outdoor stuff lasting. First the crank showed signs of rusting, the spines rusted, and one broke. Then the crank must've rusted on the inside, because it got harder and harder to crank, and finally froze. I've had it less than 6 months. It's a shame because the fabric is still in great condition. It would probably be fine for people not living on the water, or if they didn't keep the umbrella outside; we used it every day, so we did.

What I liked about this umbrella is the many colors available. I bought the tan color as it fit quite well with my house siding and my deck platform. The umbrella is light. In a stiff breeze it does have the tendency to take off on it's own. Lowering the umbrella and using the attached ties to secure the umbrella was easy. Also the offering of the 9' size is perfect for my table which seats six. The larger size makes more shade across and around the table and chairs.

Color and size were great. Waiting to see if it fades fast.

I bought 3 of these and, overall, I'm happy with the purchase. The crank handle is not metal, it's more like silver plastic. All 3 umbrellas need assistance folding down all the way by hand; the crank handle does a great job bringing the umbrella down but not quite closed, but if I wrap my hands around the umbrellas, they do close fully. The fabric is sturdy and the tilt works on all 3 umbrellas. Overall, great product for the price.
