Good umbrella, however I had some shipping issues which was not the sellers fault. My box got damages and there was no hardware. The seller got back into contact with me right away and solved the problem. Good experience and painless. Thanks

Nice umbrella, definitely requires weight on the stand to prevent it from tipping over.

So far, so good, easy set up, just make sure you weigh the base down.

Love the umbrella, loved the price~bought this as it was inexpensive & wanted to see if this type would work for me. Very satisfied with looks, shade, does the job but I really feel if the 'cap' on the bottom of the stand - where the pole meets the three prong 'foot' - was larger in diameter it would help secure the weight of the umbrella in times of wind (& I m not speaking of 'high winds' - more than gentle breeze) as the pole is already 'leaning' from the weight & the 'cap' is bowing up. I lower the umbrella in higher than normal breezes (easy to do & I m almost 82 yrs.old). My helper screwed the base to my deck. I m not sorry that I bought it as it s doing the job of shielding a sun blasting heat from the west (90+ in May). So gonna have to come up with an idea to support the pole or it s a gone deal. Hope this helps ~ I always read the reviews to help me decide. :)

I bought this umbrella after shopping for a replacement umbrella for my very nice and very expensive and working 10-year-old 10.5 ft Cantilever Umbrella for which I could find no replacement canvas. The price is right for this umbrella. I set aside the metal stand (A and B) and bolted (C) directly to the wooden deck with 4 purchased 4" long Lag Bolts, the same was as my old, larger umbrella, thereby I expect to continue to never have a moment of fear of it flying away. Nevertheless, I was always sure to lower and secure the umbrella top to the pole with a bungy cord when not in use, and will do the same with this one. The color of the canvas ,which appears to be water poof - a big plus, is as described. Note: The assembly directions are only pictures and not a single descriptive word about how to install or operate it. Not even a customer service number in case you get stuck. For instance, picture number 6 shows a part that is not on the parts pictures. I don't know what the handle's function in pictures number 5,6, 8. Also, my old umbrella swiveled, so I could move the coverage area when the sun moved. Haven't figured out how to do this yet on this model. I will still try to figure it out. Guess for those of you who will use the unsecured weights to hold down your umbrella base - good luck, (which by the way are not listed as needed parts on the product description) just a picture on page 3 of the directions with no dimensions on the size of 4 concrete pads you will have to purchase because there is no way to secure (A and B) base to a wooden deck if you choose to do so. Caution, do not set it up without weights! The slightest wind will take it away. Even with mine bolted down to my deck, I still use two nylon cords tied to opposing umbrella ribs to the deck for safety. Also, make sure you turn the handle to open and close your umbrella it in the right directions since the arrows on the mechanism are too small to easily tell. I'm going to paint the raised word Down and it's arrow with red nail polish. And by the way I spent the extra money and bought the insurance plan for around $13 dollars. Now I have to figure out how to get a copy of it and how to register my umbrella. HUM. Just want to also mention the umbrella came in a hug, heavy box by UPS and arrived undamaged although it did not contain any packing material, they placed the parts in plastic sleeves.

Haven't really had a chance to use it but we did set it up and opened it. It was a little windy that day and I would have to say I felt like it would blow away. We had bricks around bottom but the umbrella was waving around a lot. The material is not too heavy and the polls aren't comparable to the 400.00 ones. We will see how many seasons we can get out of it. If you are on a budget I would say this would do.

The umbrella was easy to put up with 2 people! It is top-heavy, so you absolutely have to also purchase a weighted base. I purchased the square 4 panel base and filled them with water. For the money, this umbrella is fine. The umbrella itself has a lot of movement if its breezy.
