I used to have much thicker (and pricier) grilling tools, but I never used them as they were very difficult to use. Yes, the more expensive tools use thicker metal, but they will require people with much larger hands than I have to be able to use properly. These are just as large but as the metal is thinner, I find them easier to use with my smaller hands. They still seem very sturdy but at least they don't tire me out as much as using the previous ones I had. And the cost is much more reasonable than my previous set.

Great Christmas present for Grilling Guys! Love that it will all stay together in one little metal case. Added things, such as corn on the cob holders and metal straws, got a nice reaction. The pot holders really would not do a good job for what their purpose is. But I had already bought him super heavy duty suede gloves. Due to no wood on the utensils, they should easily go in the dishwasher. Yay!

Honestly, I did not realize until I opened the box, how many pieces were included. For the price, I got a bunch of stuff. The important pieces appear to be constructed in a way that they should last many years. Also, there are sharp edges so be careful handling some pieces in the kit. Overall, it is a bargain.
