I'm not a fan of these. I have to keep the app open for them to work so If I accidentally close the app then they are useless. I constantly lose my phone and keys so I was hoping to find a solution. This isn't it. I just cant always rely on the fact that an app is open on my phone. Not sure if I'm doing it wrong or not but I personally don't care for these.

I'm kinda disappointed with this purchase, I thought I lost my house keys yesterday I drove all the way back to my wife work saying that's where it was last found, was really disappointmented the whole time it was in my elbow compartment the whole time I wasted 45 minutes searching for my keys and it was literally only less than a foot away, I find it useful i guess when i am at home only. could use some better improvements especially tracking capabilities.

If you're using your phone to find the tile, it works perfectly. If you're using the tile to find your phone, not so much. Doesn't work unless the phone is unlocked. This is annoying because I never have a problem finding my keys, but I loose my phone inside my own house all the time, which is the whole reason I bought the tile. To be fair, I haven't had the time to try their tech support yet, so all of this might be fixed.

These are great for finding something you have misplaced in your house. So long as it is findable by a device on the Tile Network you can find it. But there's the rub. I put one of these things on my cat's collar. It works great for finding the cat when she's in the house (but I can do that by simply rattling her food dish). If she get's outside and goes two houses away, she's out of range and lost. The cat can only be found if a Tile owner is within range (about 50') of the cat AND that Tile owner allows their device to be used by the "Tile Network" (many people are worried about their privacy). I HAVE located my cat by walking around the neighborhood watching my phone tricorder style, but that is pretty far from what I expected.

Only works when it wants to and easily broken if you have an active lifestyle. Don't keep these in your pocket during a hike like I did.

I liked the size of the product and the concept of it, but was dissatisfied that it did not work properly.

Unless I am mistaken, tile has disabled calling phone from tile unless you give it access to your location, even when not using the app. I can see no reason for this (calling the phone requires bluetooth only) and I would prefer not to give them access to my location for unknown reason. Who knows what they are using it for? Why the extra drain on my battery?

Not a true GPS tracking device, when you need other users close by to be able to locate your tile it defeats the purpose. I have them on my Dogs, Luggage, camera etc. without others users within the tiles range you are dead in the water.

These were great, it then they updated the app. Now they are terrible. The app randomly signs you out which defeats the whole purpose. People buy these because they often lose things, and now we have to remember to make sure the app is always running in the background for it to work? Yeah tight.
