If you like the idea of this kind of heater, here's one that should be good

I'm really very pleased already. We have some days of winds and storms, of the Pacific coast variety, cold down to upper 40s, while the dampness in the air accentuates its quality, and this arrived in time, actually early.I am using this heater in an L-shaped room, 25 feet by 14 at its widest part. I would say this heater is just right for the winter in this climate, as it takes all the feeling of chill out of the room, and can be cozy where you are near enough to feel the direct heat. Given the nice rollers on the feet, moving it a little for a desk or easy chair seating is nice to do.If you were in colder climates I have lived in, and somehow didn't have the heating their residences usually do, you'd likely want two of these for a room as large as I describe. However many you need, this heater has all the benefits expected of its design and power level: no noise (a click once or twice as things shift since unpacking), no drafts or only warmth in front of fans, full efficient heat value of the wattage, and that the residual warmth held in the oil continues to radiate long after the thermostat cycles, or the heater is unplugged. The entire room becomes nicely liveable, closer quite comfortable, and not dry, due to the calm convection of heat. It's good to feel comfortable. As far as safety, there all the right features, and given your home wiring or plug use isn't problematic, there should be no trouble with outlets. I specifically tested right away with several, and there is almost no noticeable warming of the plug, at full power switched on, so the heater and cord appear fine this way. A bad outlet can always cause problems, so be sure to check this way yourself.I didn't feel the need for remote controls, and don't once it's arrived, especially given the calm performance, and as those seem to be pretty poorly thought out anyway on many other designs. You'll know if you want features of another type of heater, but if you like the idea of this kind, here's one that should be good. I had a careful look at complaints before choosing, which are few on this brand and model, and responses, as you can.

For you naysayers!

There are a lot of mixed reviews for this heater. I have two of these and they work well. Yes there are the occasional click a pop as the metal expands and contracts, but other that that there is no noise from a fan becuase it doesn't have one. I have one in a 12x12 room that has a leaky garage door (you can see daylight along the sides) and it can with little effort keep that room between 60~64F with very little effort even when it's 0F outside. This is my chosen temp for this room as I use it as a brewery. The other one I have in my office which is a 16x12 converted shed. 2x4 construction with 3/4" ply as sheathing and 8' of sliding doors that don't make any kind of seal. Wall insulation is only 1/2 installed so most of the walls are exposed to the elements. There is a ceiling in place, but wasn't air sealed or insulated. With this being said, it could get the room to 42-46F when it was 28F outside. After air sealing the attic space I could get it to 42-46F when it was 18F outside. Now with with 6" of cellulose insulation in the attic, the space rapidly warmed this morning. 18F outside and 52F inside. 52F still sounds cold right? Remember that 50% of the space has 3/4 of ply between the inside and outside and there is an old fleece blacked covering 8' of sliding barn doors. I would say these heaters are doing a great job.On the subject of cost, that all depends on three factors:1) How well insulated is your house is. If its drafty, thats because your loosing hot air to the environment and its being replaced with cold air. Air seal and insulate.2) How much do you pay for electric. Live in N. Vermont and we pay 17.8c per kWh. (US average is 12.5c per kWh) This heater seem to run at 1000 watts which equates to me paying an additional $20 each month on my electric bill when running it for 10hrs a day Monday though Friday. Thats about $2 a day.3) How warm you keep the space. My goal for this office is 70F (21c)

the trick is in using the dial & buttons

This heater is great and will get your room quite toasty. The trick is in using the dial and buttons. What I do first thing is to turn on both buttons and crank the dial to the highest setting. Once the room gets as hot as I like I turn the dial back until I hear the click sound. I believe that is the level to maintain the current temp. If after awhile it’s still too warm I turn the dial again until I again hear it click. Just keep doing that, and turn off button II and crank the dial up again for button I.

Great heater with manual settings.

I bought two of these one for the master bedroom and one for the bathroom. Other and more expensive digital units only allowed you to set how long the heater stays on but I found none that allowed you to set the on time. The digital units can't be place on timers because once the power is shut off they can not be turned back on unless you push the power button on the heater. These manual controlled units work perfectly with the two timers I listed below. The bathroom unit uses the insteon outlet and is set to come on every day at sunrise and turn off around noon. The bedroom heater uses the GMYLE timer and is set to come on only when the temperature outside drops below 32 degrees. We have a heat pump upstairs which is a very efficient HVAC system but gets very expensive to run once it gets too cold outside (heat strips vs heat pump). With just 2 of us in the house it make sense to just heat the one room instead of the whole upstairs especially during the extremely cold days.Oil heaters take longer to warm up a space but if planned accordingly (timers) they are much more energy efficient to use then the ceramic heaters. Ceramic heaters produce instant heat which is instantly gone once you turn the heater off and are very expensive to use ( I conducted my own test too using an electrical watt meter). Wifi Smart Plug Mini, GMYLE Smart Home Power Control Socket, Remote Control Your Household Equipment from Everywhere, No Hub Required, Compatible with Amazon Alexa, Echo Dot & Google Home Insteon Smart Wall Outlet, Top & Bottom Outlets are Independently Controllable, Uses Superior Dual-Mesh Wireless Technology for Unbeatable Reliability - Better than Wi-Fi, Zigbee & Z-Wave P3 International P4460 Kill A Watt EZ Electricity Usage Monitor

Perfect heater

I really like this heater. It works much better than some of the heaters I have purchased. It’s not really meant for a large room, but I use it for two smaller rooms and it heats the rooms quite nicely.

Solid Heater

Maybe all new oil heaters are the same, and they all work well. If so, this is no exception. Warm, soft heat, quiet. Easy to use, quickly heats up.

Quiet, works reliably, good sale price

Works great for heating up a drafty18x12ft room. Theres no fan on the unit so its truly silent. I tried a digital oil filled one that cost more bc i thought the remote control and auto features would be worth it but it wasnt. The digital ones made a constant high pitched whirring noise from the panel and then i read reviews on how auto thermostat functions on them arent even that reliable anyway.Like with digital or non digital, it occasionally makes a loud pop/crack sound after you lower or increase the temp but its not a dealbreaker since its so infrequent with the non digital. I just set mine and forget it.On the digital ones however the constant turning on and off of the unit when on energy saving mode, does make startlingly loud pang noises a lot. The noises are loud enough to wake you from your sleep. In the end it was just simpler for me to go with this one and save the $30+ extra dollars. The digital functions really werent worth it for me. Youd have to worry about potential malfunctions with the panel on the digital ones down the lin too.I got this one while on sale and it works reliably for my room needs. I recommend it for medium sized and maybe large enclosed rooms.

I've had this heater for about two months now. At first, I didnt like it much. I thought it wasn't working properly and was going to send it back. But I soon realized that if you leave it on at its highest settings, it will provide a warm even heat throughout the lower level of my condo, which has an open floor plan. I live an a region with good weather but it does get cold in the winter (into the low 40s sometimes). After continual use I noticed how warm and comfortable the indoor space was when I would come inside from outdoors. What I like most is the spread of the warmth. It's not just warm near the unit; the heat spreads evenly throughout the space. So, I'm pleased and am confident that this unit would be even more effective in a smaller, contained space, like a master bedroom or smaller bedroom. In those spaces, I'm sure you could lower the unit's settings (there are several) and its thermostat and still get good, even warmth. I recommend but suggest you give the unit 30-45 minutes to do its job and you'll start to notice the chill leave the space. Smaller spaces will need less time. Use the thermostat and switches at full blast to start with and then adjust downward from there.

Simple, good value, does what it's supposed to do

Title says it all.Addendum: saw many reviews on here about a "missing" u-bolt or there was only 1 u-bolt in the package. Ignore those reviews. They have no clue. This radiator heater is SUPPOSED TO ONLY HAVE ONE U-BOLT. There are 2 wheel sets. One set uses a u-bolt to attach to the radiator. The other set attached directly to a pre-installed set of bolts.

Missing a U bolt

I ordered 2 units and each one was missing a u-bolt. Someone else on here claimed you don't need 2 per unit but that is not true. Maybe it was at one time but these units require 2 u-bolts and 4 wing nuts to attach the caster feet. I doubled up on one and returned the other missing both bolts.
