Stopped working after 1 season.

Worked fine until it stopped working with light use. Worked fine for occasional use last winter to heat up my office (work from home). This season it worked for a couple of weeks then stopped putting out heat. The lights turn on, but there is no heat. I recommend finding another brand. So far so good with an Amazon basic oil filled that does the same thing more cheaply and is still working in its 2nd season.

Not what I anticipated!

Well I am disappointed with this heater for several reasons let me list them: 1 - one day before purchasing the price advertised was at $65.99, the next day the price was hiked to $69.99 this doesn't include the tax which brought my total purchase to $75.00; 2 Once I tried to attach the footing the U shaped attachments were to small wouldn't fit properly, so I thought how hard could be to purchase proper size U attachment that fit. I head out to several hardware stores, Home Depot, Lowes, and Ace hardware now mind you none of these store not near my home I spent 3 hours going for store to store. My final destination was I came back home empty handed. The primary reason for purchasing this heater was to save money instead of having to heat an entire house. I would be able to the one room I'm inI need in addition 10-32 threaded rods, and 4 Coupling Nuts 10-32x3/4 long which will cost me approximately another $20.00 all together which brings this heater to around $95.00 is it worth it!I haven't even had the chance to use this heater I've had it for over a month!

Unit dangerously would not shut off after a few uses, customer service useless

I bought this heater for my Airbnb guest suite. It was rarely used. Recently I was horrified to discover that even though the two on-off switches were in the down position (off), this heater had still been running for over 12 hours (after my guests had checked out early). Because the dial was turned all the way to the right, this heater was piping hot. My guests did the right thing. They thought they turned the unit off, but because it evidently malfunctioned, it was still running. Making matters worse, I contacted Costway customer service 8 times, each time asking them a simple question -- Is this heater supposed to continue running when both switches are in the down position and the dial turned to the right. They continually dodged my question and recommended that I always unplug the unit. At one point they instructed me to take the unit to an electrician or technician to determine if the unit is supposed to stay on when both switches are in the down side! You can't make this stupidity up! I explained to them "Have one of your employees hook up one of these heaters, turn the dial all the way to the right, and have both switches in the down position. Report to me what happens. If the test unit turns on, then that tells me that my unit is working "normally". If it does not turn on, then that tells me that my unit is malfunctioning." So, finally they forwarded my question to someone whose English was evidently not their first language. I kid you not, but this is the response I got... "The left side is the smallest, but pressing it together is indeed off. It may also be that the switch is not working, but it is safe. it just needs to unplug it."So in conclusion, I cannot recommend this brand.

Defective Unit AWFUL!!!! Customer Service

I carefully read the product description and customer reviews for the space heater I purchased from Costway. The product description claims that the heater would quickly and efficiently heat medium to large rooms. Customer reviews stated that their heaters heated 2000sf basements, large rooms in areas where temperatures are often below freezing, great rooms with vaulted ceilings, etc. Some reviews included comments that people needed to turn their heaters down because the rooms got too warm.I live in northern California where the nighttime temperatures average mid 30s to mid 40s, daytime temperatures are mid 40s to upper 50s. My house is relatively well insulated. The area I want to heat is approximately 120sf with 8' ceilings, so I thought the heater I ordered would be perfect. It was not.The heater gets warm, but not hot. Even after it's been on for hours, I can hold my hand on it without getting burned, and my space is still chilly after running the heater for hours.I contacted Costway to request a properly working replacement - one that gets hot and would heat my space "quickly and efficiently" as indicated in the product description. I offered to return the defective unit. Costway offered to refund half my purchase price. I again asked for a properly working replacement. They offered a full refund if I kept the unit. I asked for a working replacement. They offered a replacement that would "partially heat my space". I explained that I don't want to run two units when 1 properly working unit should be able to handle it. I again asked for a fully functional replacement. Costway still refused to send a fully functional unit. By this time, my patience was exhausted.I contacted Amazon for assistance. Amazon contacted the seller on my behalf to request that they replace the defective unit with one that works properly. Instead of sending a working heater, Costway refunded my purchase price with the explanation that they could not guarantee that a replacement would heat my space.Do you want to buy a heater from a company that will enmesh you in an endless exchange of emails and is unwilling to replace a defective product?
