I don't know what is it exactly but anytime I restart my PC I have to reconnect the microphone because it's not recognized by the system right away, this happens in a Windows system and a Linux one.I searched the internet a bit and it seems to be a common problem with this microphone, I didn't expect to have this kind of trouble given the price tag of this one. Some said that they could get around of it with "drivers". I didn't even bother. I'm staying with it for now but I expected a better experience.

Coming from Logitech I don't understand, or I understand, why price and design is so unacceptable for this microphone. Design terrible: the weight, the bulky, the stand, the nuts that hold the mic in position. What's good in design, sockets locations. Terrible, the style like from the 50s. About price, it is OVERPRICED, same sound quality you can find it in the same market. ADVERTISING is the only reason Yeti sells, yes. When you look for a mic, you find first a Yeti ads with all the "bright sides" than the right information from the competence. I have not said Yeti is not good, but it's not excellent. When you get it out of the box, you don't know if it is a land mine or a microphone, and please hold it very tight when start assembling, it can go easy out of your hands, and you paid more than double of the price others microphones with a lot less ads and same sound quality, can cost you.

It picks up so much background noise so much that you actually have to configure it to ensure it doesnt.I have my gain slider at 9'0 clock the 4 options for the mic is the bean looking one, and then I had to go into windows, edit sound settings and turn the volume of the mix to 65, disable audio enhancements, switch the quality to highest, and then put the mic through VoiceMeeter Potato with the Denoiser MAXED with the gate at 4.5.It is an understatement when I say it will pick up anything and everything in the background regardless of what it is. Still a good sounding mic though.3/5 since I had to actually configure it to be usable and pleasant to others who hear me over the internet.

Honestly it was fine for a day then it went bad. It would spike constantly in volume. Even filters didn’t work, I don’t know if it was the mic or my set up. But I just put it away and purchased a different mic. My viewers would say I’m too quiet and then suddenly my voice would just boom and I would make ears bleed from the spike in volume.

Requires additional software I think to make it sound amazing

The microphone works well however if you are buying this to record youtube videos with your phone you can't hear yourself while recording. I called Blue Yeti support and they said its only the Yeti Nano that has that feature for recording with phone.

I was expecting to be able to use this without having to be an inch away from it to get good sound, not possible. But it does sound good if you can do that. I can't imagine I'll ever use it. It's back in the box for good.
