It warms up quickly. Used a small amount of propane. Looks good. I like this heater.

Just got it seems to work fine so far

Does not have good heat output. Only good for a slightly cool evening.

Delivery, packaging & assembly were all fine. I set it up in my living room & ran it for about 30 minutes. The 10' radius claim is a mislead for sure, i'd call it more like 5'. Nice looking solid unit, ease of operation, quiet & no fumes. I hooked up a 5' line to a 20lb. tank. Will use outside on chilly nights & in my garage in the winter (not unattended) I have a main heat system but this will work before really cold weather sets in. This unit is good in all areas but really just needs more heat output.

I bought this heater so I could sit on my deck in the cold mornings, and read the day's news on my iPod comfortably. Once it's lit, it does throw a sufficient amount of heat, so that sitting next to it, in a comfortable chair, is pleasant. I didn't bother even trying to use a 1 Lb propane canister in it... I knew instinctively that it would take a 20 Lb canister, so I bought the companion hose adapter. It's hard to judge how long the unit will run on 20 Lbs of propane, but I'd say it's roughly 25-30 hours, total. Assembly wasn't difficult. The chief problem was lighting the unit. According to the instructions, you must rotate the control knob to the 'pilot' setting, keep it depressed for 30 seconds or so, in order for the lines to be purged, and then light it using the spark device (just like a BBQ). What I found was that I have to hold the control knob depressed for at least several minutes before the pilot light would be lit. Once the pilot is burning, you have to continue to hold the control knob depressed... presumably, because it heats an internal thermocouple that permits the pilot to stay lit while you turn the knob to either the LO setting, or the HIGH setting. I did call the factory for support. After 20 minutes, without a response, I took the option to leave my phone number for a call-back... but no one ever called. Despite the hassle in getting the thing to light, I still like the unit. EDITED TO ADD: I've dropped the review by one star, because of the continuing difficulties in getting the thing lit. However, I did devise a work-around: I keep a small propane torch nearby, the kind that uses disposable 1 Lb propane containers. By lighting the torch, and sticking the business end up one of the vent holes just below where the pilot light is, I can get the pilot to light immediately... no muss, no fuss. The unit continues to throw comfortable heat down towards my deck chair, on cold mornings. Evidently, the problem is the piezo igniter.... it's either weak, or poorly positioned.

Really too soon to rate however in reading all the reviews about the difficulty in igniting it with a 20 lb tank, I waited till night to light the pilot light and it lit right away. Unbeknownst to me during yesterday's daylight I didn't realize it was lit the whole time. The ease of lighting tonight was immediate. Will only give it a 3 for now as I've not used it other than igniting it. Once I use it I will adjust my rating.

The instruction book is poorly printed, the illustrations are very poor black and white photos, I recommend going to the website and downloading the pdf manual, it is easier to read and you can enlarge it. Mine came missing the M5x25 screws, Rather than wait for them I picked them up at the local hardware store. Total assembly time about 3 hours. I originally ordered 2 of these, but sent one back unopened rather than having to assemble the second one. Once assembled it seems to work OK.

Assembly was not mind numbingly painful which was a pleasant change. I had it assembled for over a week before the weather in Chicago cooperated enough to try it. It's a bitch to light. Very hard to tell when it even has ignited so I had to fiddle with it for quite a while before I succeeded. It gives off very little heat when set to high and I honestly don't see much difference between the low and high setting. You have to be sitting on top of it to feel any heat so the advertised range of 8 sq ft is an exaggeration unless perhaps you live in the Florida Keys where temps in the 80's leave you feeling a wee bit chilled. On a 50° night in Chicago --- not so much. The gas tank will only last about an hour on high. My little biofuel fireplace that I schlepped from CA is about as effective from a heat perspective and the fuel will last for a few hours. I would return it had I kept the box but unfortunately, Chicago city spaces are not empty box storage appropriate.

Assembled easily but quality clearly a step down from another heater we purchased. We would be more enthusiastic if there were a intermediate fuel source. The one pound screwi in fuel cans only last an hour and are expensive; the hose adapter to larger propane tank if awkward at best for table top use. On the fence about keeping it.

Very nice looking outside table top heater. Well made and nice design. Unfortunately, It does not give off much heat. The single propane canisters do not last very long either. I'd say a little over an hour. I wish I had read more reviews before purchasing. Maybe we can rig up something else to make the heat stronger and last longer.
