We have a room in our house that is always a little cooler in the winter and warmer in the summer. By placing the sensor in our young daughters room and setting the schedule to only nights, we were able to keep her comfortable while sleeping. Easy to install and configure.

This little sensor was the answer to my problems and will probably save me money. I built a new home 2 years ago and was not happy with the placement of the thermostat. I had to set the temperature higher so it was comfortable in the living room because it was always 2 to 3 degrees cooler then the thermostat. Now with the sensor I have turned it down 2 degrees and it's comfortable everywhere.

I normally dont review items but I had to with this one. We have a tri-level home and the thermostat is located on the top level hallway. Our middle level is always cold in the winter and hot in the summer and never seems to be at a comfortable temperature due to the location of the thermostat. We thought our only solution was to get a second A/C unit which would have cost us $10k-$15k! I saw this and already had a nest thermostat and figured we would give it a shot. Because hey, $40 + tax is a lot cheaper than a new unit if it works. Its only been 2 days, and this has been the most amazing product ever! For the first time our house on the middle level, which where we spend a majority of our time, is actually comfortable. It even has a feature that allows you to program what times of day you want the unit to kick on based on the main thermostat temperature or the sensor temperature. So during the day, the unit will work based on the sensor temperature and at night it changes to the main thermostat so we are comfortable while we sleep. A must have for any house with a temperature difference between floors!

Our baby’s room is always a few degrees different than the room that our thermostat is in. It’s nice to have peace of mind overnight that we can set the temperature to another area of the house.

I have a 3 story home with only a single heat/ac zone. The new nest with sensors allow me to basically simulate having multiple zones. The house has been much more comfortable since installing.

This is an interesting device. It has its limits on what it can do. I just got it so I’ll see what it can do for me.

Our thermostat is located in an awkward area so it’s judgment on the actual temperature is always off, I’ve had a next thermostat for a couple years and ever realized they had these sensors...so I bought the 3 pack and it’s seriously a game changer! I’m able to heat/cool the home to the actual temperature I want without having to constantly mess with the thermostat!! I highly recommend!!

Purchased to monitor the temperature in the baby's room. Works great and I can switch the thermostat to the sensor and warm the room to the desired temperature.

If you want your thermostat to be regulate by where you are in your home verses where the Nest is mounted, then get this device! It simply reads the temperature in the place you have mounted the device and sends that information to the Nest. This device eliminates rooms that are uncomfortable do to the location of the thermostat.
