I have bought several of these belts; for myself and for gifts. The last one has a new buckle that isn’t as good a fit as the previous one. Sadly. Love the belt ratchet system.

The buckle is very hard to insert belt. I have used ratchet belts for years. All the rest it is easy to push the belt in. With this one I have to lift the ratchet handle to get belt started. Will try for another day, but probably returning.

I wasn't expecting too much from this belt but I needed a new one after my last one. It functions just fine however it does feel a lot more like plastic than any other belt I've had. This can sometimes make it hard to feed through the ratchet mechanism.

I have another ratchet belt, but wanted a spare. This belt is easy to size, but surprisingly difficult to put on. Threading the belt requires gently holding it open, carefully placing it in the opening, and pushing with some force. If any of these steps are off, it won't work or will get stuck. It's okay, but I wouldn't purchase it again.

The belt seems like good quality for the money, but it is dangerous when you open to adjust. They are spikes that hold the leather in place and when you open the design has it so the finger can get punctured easily. I ended up with a stab wound on my thumb. Just becareful opening it.

Buckle is too heavy and doesn’t fit ratcheted notches very securely. Overall I’m disappointed.

I ordered the 28-44 inch belt and it was way too long. I measured it and not counting the buckle it was 55 inches long. Maybe I could have used it if the ratchet component of the belt was longer, but I was way into smooth belt territory trying to get this on.There was a card with the belt asking to email them if there was a problem, I emailed but did not get a response back. Checked spam filters etc, but was left no choice but to return the belt.Other than the fact that it didn't fit, the belt seemed high quality, didn't smell funky or look cheap.

The concept is great, but this is not the product to choose. The ratcheting works fine, adjustments to belt length are easy, but this will not hold up. I've worn this for less than 2 weeks and it's already curved more than the 7+ year old belt it replaced or another that's 3 years old. 2 weeks worth of wearing. Choose another ratcheting belt.

I really like the idea of a ratcheting belt, to be able to make fine adjustments to get the fit just right. Unfortunately, while this belt does that, it doesn't stay at that adjustment for long.People who don't wish to wear their belts very tightly might not have any issues. However, I bought this belt for work expressly because I have to dress formally and carry a few pounds of equipment on my belt. This means I have wear it a little tighter than usual to keep it from being dragged down.I found that as soon as I would adjust the belt to the fit I wanted, it would begin sliding out of the buckle immediately, settling to a loose fit that would drag my pants down to a much more "casual" region of my hips.If you've got wider hips or a more pronounced butt than I do, you probably won't have any issues. If you're more rail-shaped and expect your belt to do any of the work holding your pants up though, I'd look for something more secure.

I won't be going back to old style belts. If, as some suggest, it doesn't last as long as traditional belts, I'll just buy belts like this more often. Love it!
