My old one, that I got with my XBOX, was going bad so I ordered this one. It works just like it is supposed to.

True Microsoft headset as advertised and so glad I bought this. I hate the ones with both ear phones and the guy at GameStop told me they stopped making these ones… glad it was not true.

Sooooooooo I was initially going to give this headset one star and write how I should have read the reviews about it being a defective piece of trash. I bought this for my son for Christmas for his xbox and as soon as he opened it and plugged it into his controller he attempted to chat with his sister who was in her room on her ps4. He could hear her and the other gamers but no one could hear him. Long story short I was pissed and went on to read the reviews to see if others had this problem and boy did I see a lot of reviews saying the same thing. I knew something had to be wrong so I called Microsoft and the tech support got me to go run an update and check all the options in settings to make sure there was no parental control on, chat was on, internet connection and some other settings. He told us to do a reset of the console and turn the controllers off and back on. The settings were all fine so we only did the update and the reset of the console. After doing all of that my son came running out of his room saying the headset was working great. I tried it out and could hear my daughter clearly and she could her me loud and clear!!!

I mainly got for streaming purposes, it has a comfortable fit, smaller than I expected, but looks cool. The headset is brand new and in good condition.

We love these. They are so easy to use and are light and not bulky. I have heard they break easily but our two pairs are working like new and we have had them for a few months now. We had a very hard time getting them to work with the wireless Elite 2 controllers we bought, but after removing the rubber skin we had bought and put on the controllers and re attaching the headsets, they worked fine. Then we put the rubber skins back on the wireless Elite 2 controllers and they still worked. So, a word of advice is that if you are going to put a rubber grip skin on the wireless Elite 2 controller and also use this headset, make sure you hook up the headset to controller first and get it to work, then put the rubber skin on the controller.

So after purchasing two aftermarket budget friendly headsets I realize that I was not gonna find something worth buying. But then I came across the Microsoft had said and the price was only 25 bucks so I decided to give it a shot. I have to say that I am very impressed with his headset not only that he has the proper port to connected to your headset but the sound quality and the mic is worth every single penny I have not had any issues with people not able to hear me or understanding I strongly recommend that when you buy it make sure you’re buying it from Amazon I’m not a third-party vendor I have found that is the only way to get a genuine unopened brand you brand name.

Honestly my favorite headset to use for when gaming. I have been an active Xbox user for the entire duration of the Xbox one’s lifespan, and this has been my preferred microphone for 6-7 years. Very inexpensive, and although the wire can be fragile if mishandled, very easily replaceable. These can last me over a year with constant use of handled correctly. It should be noted I do not like bulky more expensive options, I do not need game volume in my headset, and larger microphones are prone to breaking as well, and are more expensive to replace. Cheap and comfortable, can wear it all day no issues.

I had one of these since back when the Xbox one first came out. Used it for years and it finally started dying. I don't game as much as I did when I first got it so I didn't need to spend $50 on a high end headset. Sure it's not the "best headset" you could get with surround sound or anything. But it does great for just talking to friends while you're playing. The best feature is the fact the mute button is right on the controller. Simple to move your thumb and hit it without having to take a hand off the controller and fumble around for a mute button dangling on the cord or up on the headset itself. Great for quick sneeze or coughs that you don't want to blast into other players ears. Simple headset, great design and works well.

OK as far as headsets go, I like light and easy to use. I don't want something that is big bulky and will make my head hurt after wearing it for a few hours. Doesn't squeeze my head and give me a headache like some of the others I tried. This headset is perfect for what you want it for, to use during gaming sessions to talk to others. My son uses it to chat with his brother while they play in different places, and I use it to chat with teammates during multiplayer sessions. Works without any issues, the sound is good and mike pick-up is sometimes too good. LOL Plugs right into the handset and needs no special adjustments or set up.

Came in the original box. Literally thought it was new until I looked back on the order details. Thumbs up
