I have been a Fitbit user for years. My last one was the charge 3. Fitbit removed the ability to track floors climbed on the latest version, this seems to be a very basic feature that should not be removed.

I loved this FitBit at first. However, about 3 months after buying it, I started having issues. Would freeze or not turn on. Now, roughly 4 months after buying it, it won’t stay charged for more than 8 hours IF it charges at all. For something that only lasted four months, it should have been a lot cheaper! My FitBit HR is still working almost 2 years later… but I gave it to a family member when I got the Charge5.

I really wanted to love this watch as past Fitbit watches I've had and did at the beginning. Less than a year of use and the last couple months the watch doesn't hold a charge long. Now I charge it fully and it dies in 10minutes. Making it utterly useless. Highly disappointed in this watch and Fitbit. The money I spent, I'd expect to get more use out of it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Won’t hold a charge anymore. Not even a year old.
Fitbit
This is my third Fitbit charge five that I have bought because I thought it was something wrong with the device but after three times of purchasing, I am no longer going to be a Fitbit customer. First off, it always has issues syncing, second off the heart rate is so off I do a hard-core boot camp and 98% of the workout it never calculates the heart rate says that I’m below zones. And yes I have the band tight enough I have went through all the settings and made sure everything was correct.. if you’re looking for a watch that tells you incorrect information and has the time on it go for it. Fitbit has gone down hill. Going to try apple.

Worked fine for 2 weeks before losing it in the ocean. You’d assume a fitness tracker with a reputation like fitbits would be better. Customer support was zero help.
Switching to apple
Broke after 1 year of use no damage to it. It just died

I bought this tracker about a month ago as an alternative to my Apple Watch and despite my best effort—I think I have to go back. The heart rate detection is pitiful (it frequently reads 170 bpm at 90), every single watchface is a criminally ugly, and the watch constantly glitches. The fitness statistics that require an additional subscription are spotty at best. Not worth the money and definitely not the quality I was expecting from a company I’ve used and loved before.

The Fitbit provides a series of random numbers to you throughout your day, that have little relationship to your activity. Step counts are wildly inaccurate - it would record 100 steps when I'd barely gotten out of bed in the morning, and 5 miles when my Health app recorded 2. Sleep stats, which is the reason I bought it, are even more laughable - it would tell me I'd slept 7 hours when I was acutely aware of lying awake all night. I found it to just breed more obsessive compulsion about looking at a device when I am out in nature instead of enjoying my surroundings.

I received a Fitbit Charge 5 as a gift in December 2021. By September 2022 the device stopped working, the screen went dark. A replacement was sent under warranty. It arrived in a small plastic bag - not the orginal packaging - leading me to believe it was refurbished. In 5 months, by February 2023 I had the same issue. The device went dark and would not turn on. I called Fitbit to request a replacement or repair and was told it was not under warranty. If you want a device that won't last 1 year and a company that won't stand behind its product, boy do I have a product for you!
