This was reported as having an ECG app. It doesn’t have it. When I called customer service they said hopefully in November they will have it.

between the device failing to update, stalling, crashing, it also gets itself into a bad state that requires it to be reset via the proprietary charger. this thing wasn't tested at all before going to market.

This one does not come with an altimeter so you cannot keep track of your floors, the Bluetooth is not as reliable as the 4, the touch screen is not very responsive... can't flip your wrist to turn the display on anymore either. I would have given it 0 stars but it was cheap so I gave it one star for that. I will be returning this and spend the money on a better one. If you just want to count steps, miles, and log your water; this will do it.

It stopped charging all together

I called FitBit many times in two weeks with battery problems.... I had to charge it twice a day. Then other issues cropped up. The IT people would agree with my complaints, saying yep, yep, we've heard this all before and we're trying to make upgrades. The only "solution" was to return the fitbit. Do not buy.

Screen quit working a week ago, just two months after purchase.

It was defective so I returned it. Online search revealed it was a common defect for Fitbit Charge 5 so I opted for Fitbit Versa

I’ve had several fitbit watches and I kept losing them ( for various reasons that had nothing to do with the watch itself). This watch, I was determined not to lose. I wish I never purchased. As the other reviewers stated, the screen is slow to respond after tapping several times (there is no side button), the battery life is not as long as it’s previous versions, and worst of all… it will not stay synched! I have to synch it myself every night; it takes several attempts, before it will capture my steps and activity on my phone (not good for competitions with friends), and I do not receive phone alerts. The phone stays synched for 2minutes after I manually synch it. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app several times to no avail. I also have an Apple Watch that I have to charge more often than I like, but it’s better than the Fitbit Charge 5. Some reviews are good, if you like to gamble against the odds… go ahead and purchase this.
