I bought these but did not realize it’s like thin wire. I have it on my bottle tree and so far so good. Not sure it will last all winter though. The second one I put on a smaller bottle tree and something chewed the wire in half! May get something more durable next time for my specific purpose.

I've been collecting these types of lights for awhile now so I knew it wouldn't be as glowy and exaggerated as in the stock pictures. Regardless, they're very affordable, easy to set up, and put out a good amount of light, which served its purpose for illuminating our walkway for trick or treaters. The solar panels need to be pointing towards the sun for most of the day with as little shade as possible, so it takes some fiddling and repositioning, but once you get it right they can stay on until around 3AM in summer or until 10PM during winter. (If you live in a stormy climate, these will not get enough juice.)In my experience, the resin coating on the wires will sometimes break down after about a year and a half of intense sun and then the lights will go out. Good news is these solar panel control boxes are very waterproof and reusable (provided you don't lose the gaskets) and these types of string lights can be easily cut up and cannibalized into old control boxes (if you enjoy a little electronics DIY).One star off because one of these arrived dead, and based on other reviews, this seems to be a common problem. When I opened up the control box, a wire was detached from the circuit board. I soldered it back on and it works now. I assume the company is good at replacing these if asked, but all these need is a little more quality control to avoid the trouble.

The media could not be loaded. Product is just as described. It comes with two sets. I found that I needed both sets to make the small tree we decorated look decently lit. I wouldn’t use this for any tree taller than a mailbox..Or you’d need more than the set of 2.I love all the different modes. Lights are lovely and bright. Sometimes it’s hard to sync the two sets together so you may wish to have the lights overlap so it’s less noticeable. The lights are a little unwieldy. They come on very thin, delicate wire that easily tangle. I ended up wrapping it around another object to keep my sanity.Don’t forget to take the plastic off of the solar panels. They are hard to see and hard to get off, but I found it was easiest to peel at the corners.
