I thought putting these in my front window, where we get about 5 hours of direct sunlight, was a good idea. However, they aren't as bright as I had hoped, and a couple hours of them being on, the mode changes (on its own). I have the mode on steady, but every single night, about two hours in, the mode changes to a chasing flash. Even if I push the mode button, it doesn't change so I wind up turing them off. I would not buy again and wouldn't recommend.

I give it 2 stars because it is low priced and the lights work, but there are some problems. No matter how many time I push the button to change the light sequence it stays the same at off and back on for about 10 seconds. I just want steady on. The also frequently last only 5-6 hours, probably dependent on how bright the sun was that day. Finally the plastic tube is very small. I just wanted them to lay next to the sidewalk going to the porch. The light tube makes then hard to keep in place and in a straight line.

This is a review for the JMEXSUSS 2 Pack Color Changing Solar Christmas Lights, Warm White and Multicolor 100 LED Solar String Lights Outdoor Waterproof, 8 Modes Solar Mini Christmas Lights for Christmas Tree Garden Decor. I loved them when they worked. One of the two strands stopped working at the beginning of July 2023 after purchasing them on April 30, 2023. A couple of things that are frustrating about this product is that once it runs out of power during the night, the following night, you will have to reset which mode you want the lights to be on. It will remember which mode was last used ONLY if it doesn't run out of the stored power it gathered previously. The other aggravating thing is that the remotes with each strand will randomly change which mode is associated with the number on the remote. For instance, when I first received them, I strung one strand up on the backside of my structure and labeled the remote that was supposedly paired up with it as "Back" and did the same with the strand I hung on the front side of my structure by labeling it's remote with "Front." Most of the time, I only want the warm, steady mode. So I learned that on the Front remote, that is #1, and on the Back remote, that was #3. At some point, those corresponding numbers were now giving me flashing lights or multicolored lights, etc. I finally stopped using the remote and started using the Mode button on the back of the solar panel box. As you can tell, this has been a pain in my.....to do every night. Also, it is worth noting that the solar coating looks like it has managed to start lifting on the edges, and the box where the wiring/internals are has managed to get moisture inside on both strands/wiring boxes. One still works, and one doesn't. I will continue to use the one that is still working until it doesn't, but at this point, it doesn't seem long until it will stop working as well, considering they only stay on for approx. four hours after dark after a full day of full sun.
