Used to line shrubs around pathway. They look kind of cool, although aeeming to work well sometimes and sometimes not. Can't figure out why...but for a seemingly flimsy, inexpensice product, I'm satisfied. The unit is longer than I thought, which is better than too short. Just be careful when unpacking and stretching out as its esy to get tangled up, and if you're a clutz, like me, unraveling only makes it worse, and you wind up with a birds nest of wire.

The other one works just fine.

I’m a little confused why they are purple for the first 20 mins and than they are just white after..

Ok, a little background on the tree.My wife dug up a pine twig a few years back. She put it in a fairly big pot for a twig...Years later, the twig has grown to 6 foot, it's grown through the pot and in to the ground at the end of a side walk, which was only an intended location. So, now we have a sorely misplaced pine tree of sorts. It reminded me of Charlie Browns Christmas tree.An ornament would bend it over...It's also not near any AC power.Ergo, the solar powered twinkle lights. It turned out - ok....Be advised:It was a major pain - untangling the wad of lights, whilst a squad of 4 kittens were doing their best to re-tangle the wad...Other than the cats, the lights met expectations.

Put these around my pool and they work perfect!

Starting with setup: each solar panel installs relatively easily, but I bought these for my daughters outdoor play set so I screwed the brackets into wood. The clamps had to be removed to even have a chance of putting the screws in with a power drill, and even still clearance is tight and I couldn’t find any of my extensions at the time. After that the solar panels are easy to angle and secure to the brackets. There is a length of blank wire to extend for the first lights, but I did not measure it to figure out if it’s included in the total length that’s advertised, but I bet it is. The wire itself barely feels insulated and are two separate strands loosely twisted together and have the consistency and feel of fine floral wire. They are very thin, kink easily, and get tangled easily if you’re not careful unrolling them. **TIP: I recommend you putting something round through each roll to act as a spindle before you start. They constantly want to tie the whole thing in a knot if you don’t have something keeping the roll tidy.Performance wise I think they’re reasonably bright for what they are. They kick on at sunset like they’re supposed to, and stay on well after most people go to bed. **They will NOT work the night after a cloudy day** I thought they were toast after the first rainy weekend, but once we had a sunny day again they worked like normal. I can’t complain since I got them for a cyber Monday deal. They’re much dimmer than plug in lights but my daughter loves them on her play set.

Unfortunately I received violet instead of orange, but the lights still function how they were listed. Color just wasn't I wanted. It's been rained for a few days so weatherwise it seems pretty waterproof. I did not receive a remote either, so I did not rate the remote. These solar lights do have a setting on each individual panel to change the speed and blinking though. The brightness I think is decent, but I have dark decorations out. Orange or even white lights would have popped out more in my opinion. However, the violent pops against the white cobwebs so it'll may be better paired with lighter decor or room etc. The 1st picture is with the porch light off and the 2nd one is with my porch light on.Setup was really easy! The solar panels just need to charge in the sun for approximately 8hrs, but I believe they still charge even if it's cloudy with rain because I did not have a sunny day the morning I set the lights up.Still wish I got the correct color, but shipping to me takes weeks so replacing will take too long. I would recommend these lights, they're nice and add a cool touch to the yard for Halloween.

I love the look the lights give. They have a small solar stake with on,off button. Lights are on a thin wire and relative long. I used them for xmas decorations. My only complaint would be that the wire gets tangled when trying to unroll it. I did figure a technique after a while. You need to hold onto the end of the wire while unrolling the rest. Pretty fiddley though. the auto on works when dark.

They look bigger in picture but they did the job. Have been enjoying them they don't take long to charge. Might by them again.
