I love these socks! I wear them as slippers. Nice and warm without being sweaty. I'm female and I wear a size 8.5 shoe. These fit perfectly - loose enough to feel cozy and not restricting, but close fitting enough to not fall down around my ankles. These don't fit under my shoes, but I don't care because like I said, I wear them as slippers.

Winters can get a bit chilly where I live in Colorado, and I'm in the habit of keeping the thermostat turned down as low as possible (for various reasons), and so, I compensate by dressing warmly, and keeping my chronically cold feet warm enough during the winter months has been the biggest challenge over the years. I purchased two pairs of Heat Holders a couple of years ago and was very disappointed with them. Although they were plenty warm enough, the shafts lost most of their elasticity very quickly—causing them to droop down around my ankles and the soles wore right through after about a year. Last year I decided to try these and found them to be an altogether superior product. Although about the same warmth level as Heat Holders (a little warmer than wool socks costing about $5 a pair), unlike the Heat Holders, these Polar Extreme socks were still in excellent condition when spring arrived. No holes in the soles and the elastic still held them up snugly. I wore them every day with some down insulated slipper boots (which undoubtedly helped the most) around the house, and with Thinsulate lined work boots outdoors. Both combinations yielding satisfactory results. I'll definitely be inclined to buy more pairs of these when the need arises.

These are the warmest sox i have. Only wear them when its in the 20s or below. Too hot any warmer. Maybe 32*.

They are super soft on the bottom of your feet. I always wore wool socks from Costco and they would help a little to keep your legs and feet warm but these are way warmer. Most my time is out doors working with little to absolutely no cover. These are great socks.
