Breakthrough Explorer ~ Marcy
Bought for my son to be able to train for train and cross country season. He wears it constantly. It would be a 5 star rating if he didn't develop a rash underneath the band. He now washes it nightly and allows to air dry before putting back on. It has cleared up.He loves the stats that he is getting from it and has a goal of 500 miles in 100 days and he is over half way there with using this purchase

Love my watch but here is what I do not like:I want to set a running (swimming or Cycling) goal of 20 miles per week/month or year. Then track it - just like you do with the step counter.$500 watch cannot do that? iPhone App cannot do that??? No 3rd party widget? Thus I have to export data to 3rd party app and then track my progress towards that goal on another app (Strava paid app?)Garmin needs to realize they are no longer a step-tracking company....

I received the ROW version, not the APAC many buyers said they were getting from Amazon. I also bought a Fenix 5 now for sale at 350. Funtionality is the same for both, the Fenix doesn't have Wifi but for syncing bluetooth works just fine (and fast! not like for example my old Polar M430). If you are not worried about HR missreadings from the Fenix because of its weight while bumping in your wrist, its much nicer then the 935. The look&feel of the Fenix makes the full plastic 935 looks like a toy.

Almost too much info. Some of the screens provide data that I can't interpret. But, at least for running and biking there's lots of data to sort through. Sync with Strava so you don't have to carry your mobile while running. Better battery life than my old Garmin 235.

Great watch! No HRM on wrist for swimming. Performance stats (fitness and load, Vo2 max, etc) only work when you are consistent with outside running and cycling (cycling maybe inside), so it is not as useful as it could be for me since I swim/run, and sometimes run inside. I also strength training for better running mechanics and the strength training “activity” portion is clunky, I still need to get used to working out with it. Otherwise I do like it, just wish the HRM tracked while swimming OR, that the HRM TRI or HRM SWIM had more consistent performance to go with this watch.

Great features, fairly easy to customize but just too big for my wrist to use all day/night.

I really liked the watch at first. The sleep tracking function isn’t as accurate as the Huawei Band 2 Pro, but it had some nice fearures that made up for that. I was expecting it to be a touchscreen watch, but was sadly disappointed. In spite of that, I would have kept it if not for the fact that after wearing it for about a week, I decide to move it to my right wrist for a few hours. I moved it back before going to bed and thought little of it until I saw a rash where it had been on my right wrist. This persisted several days before beginning to peel.

First off, let me say that i LOVE this watch. It does everything I need and more. It's pretty easy to setup and use, although anyone new to garmin will need to click around a little. The one issue I have is that the screen juts out a little and I cracked it 8 months into use. And yes, I had a screen protector on there. Replacement of the device costs $99 w/o shipping and handling. I didn't realize I had cracked the screen as I don't recall banging it into anything, which tells me that durability could be better or I had hit it just right in that sweet spot. I may be showing my age when I say that one of those swatch watch guards may be better then a screen protector for this watch. Overall, I can't complain about anything else about the watch. I am just upset that it wasn't covered under warranty and I had to shell out another $106.

The sleep tracking isn't always accurate but is fine. It's great for running, but you need additional products for power metrics and vertical oscilation. It also doesn't track your hr in the water, but all of these are fine. The gps, customizable metrics on your running screen, and options are great. It does not track lifting workouts well either and is too much of a hassle to fool with mid workout to track reps, weights, and exercises, but that's fine. After lifting for years, it's second nature to know where you are on the rack. The battery life on this is fantastic, and i love it as a less conspicuous and less fussy smart watch. The styling is sleek and my only qualms are that the bezel is plastic and the screen isn't a saphire screen, but I'm not willing to dish out on the Fenix. The GPS screen while hiking also could use a bit more topographic information, altitude, weather, etc but that might be an option in an accessory app. Overall happy with this purchase and it's been a great way to keep on top of my running!

Best Garmin watch yet. Previously had the 920xt which I loved, was actually hard for me to switch, but after using the 935 for a few months now, I love it, mostly. It's a great looking watch! My only issue is there is a lot of data screens you need to go through to get to what you want; not really a big deal. BUT (big problem for me), I have found that in the 25 yard indoor pool at the local YMCA my 935 does NOT track all of my laps properly. Every workout, it miscalculates at some point. For example on Saturday (3,700y total swim) during my 4x200 pull set, it counted my first 200y as 50, the next set as 175, the next set 200 and my final set 150. Later on in my workout it calculated a 100y interval as 150 and another at 25. It's not consistently off on every set but I can trust that every single time I get in the pool it will be off during some part of my training swim. To make note, I am using it in non-gps mode for my indoor pool swims. My 920xt started doing this after 3-years of everyday use, which is one of the reasons why I upgraded to the newer 935. This is a HUGE disappointment, especially at the $500 price point. Because of this I would be very hesitant to purchase this watch again, I would most likely look for the 920xt at half the price and buy that one again.
