I tried these shorts to be able to work out and for riding my bike every morning. The fit is ok, I'm a curvy girl, so a little hippy, and they fit ok with the exception of the back. The back fit was small, almost like a gap on jeans in the back, but lower, not staying up. I didn't like that about it. The other part I wasn't happy about is that they are slick material. Riding a bike with slick shorts, you slide right off the seat and I had to keep readjusting myself on my bike, did not like that at all! Pros: If you're not too curvy, the fit would be great for you. If you're not riding a bike or any seated machines and just doing walking, running, or exercise at home these would be great, as you won't have to worry about the sliding around. The length of these shorts are awesome, and I love that they have pockets for my keys and phone. Overall, a good short, just not for my purpose and my body type.

I’m glad everyone else loves them so much but they were a let down for me. The fabric wasn’t very nice and it’s not even a little bit stretchy. I ordered a medium and I’m always a medium but these were tight. Not to the point where I would want a large, but noticeably tighter than other biking shorts I have. I think it’s just from the material not being very stretchy/ elastic and that’s what I’m more used to. Just didn’t seem like a very nice fabric, maybe they needed a wash but I wasn’t willing to keep them. 3 stars because it’s not a bad price point and it could just be that I have really wide hips and need more stretch in my shorts.

I own the original Baleaf 8" running shorts that were a bit thicker and more compression. I ran with those for years. they ran out of that material and now have the 2.0. Its very similar to the old material but it just doesn't have the hold around the waist. I even bought some a size small to run in, but I'm constantly pulling them up on my run and they are tight! If you put it in the dryer it will hold up for one run but not for two, it becomes too loose. For wearing around I own a few larges. Now I use the meds I bought for running to run around to do errands or just hang out. These are no longer my go to running shorts. the colors are great, pockets perfect and the gusseted crotch flat lock seams front is a great style. I don't like internal drawstrings but with this new material I think it would work better at least for me. I may have my seamstress sew the waist smaller so I can use for running in the meds.
