I put it together, moved it outside, filled it with some dry wood, and had a wonderful fire, being very careful of course. Never , every want to start a fire in the grass, just need to be careful, but I love the size and quality.

I haven’t even had it a year and the fire pit pan is already warped and 2 of the legs are falling off. Thankfully, it is opposite corners. If I could return it, I would. This was my first fire pit and I’m very disappointed.

Great addition to our new patio. Somewhere along the line I got the impression that you could convert it to a table top with the pieces included but that is not the case. There are a few extra tiles but not enough to cover nor a supporting structure for them if you want a table top. However, it is still great as a fire pit. Maybe you can order the extra pieces, I haven't looked into it.
