Not against the product but low review to target returns. Box came and it looked like a return, not taped correctly. And product was missing the tray inside. Target should do better job when they get returns to make sure all the pieces are there.

Air fryer works great however there is a strong chemical smell that has not gone away despite many attempts to "burn it off" per the instructions. The quick start guide says to run the air fryer ONCE on the highest heat for 15 minutes and that an odor is normal. I've done this over 5 times and there is still a strong odor. The odor has made its way into the 3 meals I've made in it so at this point I've reached out to Sur La Table to get this fixed and have heard nothing back in return. The smell is so strong that we literally had to put the air fryer in the garage because you can smell it from across the house when I had it out on the counter. Freaking me out to wonder 1) what is this smell? and 2) what did we ingest from eating the food made in it? At this point I'm still awaiting a response from the company as to how they plan to rectify this.

I was very excited to find this air fryer, because I love the fact it was long and could more random sizes, The first couple of uses it had that typical new smell, but that weird electrical stayed around and has never lightened up. The cook times were never accurate and the cooking itself was very uneven. The final reason for the one star is that we figured out that the smell was actually a short in the cord that caught our outlet on fire. We will not be buying this brand again.

Stopped working after 6 months

Did not include a crisping tray. No help from customer service.

I was so excited to get an air fryer and after searching online and reading reviews I found this one. From the first time cooking in it until now it has retained both a chemical taste and smell. I tried all the recommended strategies to get rid of that initial chemical off gassing but nothing worked. Not sure if this one is defective but I wouldn’t waste your money.

I found this air fryer on clearance for $50 and thought to myself it’s time to upgrade my old one. Took it out the box made a pizza puff and it taste like burnt chemical the same odor fills the house. I’m definitely returning it I don’t feel like it’s safe at all
