Overall, I find this phone stand to be stable enough and it suits my needs. However, there were a couple of minor issues with it. First, when attaching the pole to the base, the screw to tighten it is very difficult to tighten to keep the pole from wobbling. I initially installed it and tightened the screw. The pole was still wobbly, so I had to use a good deal of force to tighten the screw more. I thought the screw might strip, but I was able to get it tight enough. The second issue is there are no instructions included. It's a relatively simple device, but I thought there might be a hidden release to extend the pole to raise the phone or tablet. Not finding one, I pulled the top section upward away from the base. It didn't budge, so I pulled very hard, again being concerned I might break it. Still no movement, so I contacted the seller (Tanga), who replied that I needed to pull it up with more force. I tried that and the pole finally extended, but it requires more force to extend than should be needed. At least it won't slide closed by accident! This holder would be suitable for a phone or small tablet, but would not be stable enough for a medium (10") tablet.
