Great addition

Have this on two vehicles. Highly recommended. Great addition any vehicle without reverse camera. Installation can be tricky depending on make and model of vehicle.

Easy to Install and Stays Connected

Installed very easily in a 2013 F150 Extended Cab. Wanted a wireless system so I didn't have to deal with getting a wire from the bed into the truck. Installation was very easy in the cab and on the reverse light. Just note that the cigarette lighter might have a large delay for the cigarette lighter (1 hour and 15 minutes). Going to get an OBD device to turn off the timeout so it turns off when I turn off the truck's ignition.

Backup camera added!

I received this unit and I am overall very pleased with it. The rearview mirror is solidly built and was a bit bigger than my OEM unit. I did the bench test as recommended before I did the install. Everything was fine and I cannot stress how important it is to do this; do not skip it.I have a 2003 Toyota Highlander and I looked up a video on how to remove the plastic rear door covers and side post covers. Very easy once you see it done. I then mounted the camera above the plate, but this position does make me need to be more careful when opening the back, it is right under the latch. I drilled a hole the proper size to pass the camera cable than ran the cable up to the top and through the rubber wire tube that goes from the door to the car. From there is was a matter of routing the wire to the left side light cluster.I mounted the rearview/monitor using the existing shoe on the glass after removing the OEM unit. I then wired the monitor directly into the wire harness that runs above the roof console. There is a switched 12V source and ground in the plug and I just used the crimp slices to tap in after cutting the monitor wire shorter and stripping it. Remeber to hook the monitor to a SWITCHED 12V line otherwise you will drain your batters. I did not need to use the 12V plug and route the wires around and it looks great. The camera picture is a little washed out in the daytime, so I added a little tape to the light sensor and now the brightness is perfect. Night view is amazing and crystal clear. A great low-cost safety addition to my 2003!

Great product with excellent customer service!!

Great product for a vehicle that doesn’t have a factory backup camera. Got the package in a few days and installed it. Was just what i needed for my older Honda without a camera. The quality is top notch for the price. Had a issue with the mounting bracket and reached out to the manufacturer and they remedied my issue overnight. Got to say they definitely care about their products and customers. Highly recommend it.

I wouldby again

Great product, I like the fact that it connects to your reverse lights. It works great and no distortion in view. I would buy again.

Easy installation

Installed on a Ford F150. Easy replacement for the stock mirror. Clear image at night, slightly dim in full daylight.

Great product, better for car or SUV

Good quality hardware and great picture. Installed in short bed pickup truck. The wireless transmitter didn't have enough range to tuck behind the tailight so I had to make a jumper harness for the power/ground to get it into the cab. Ended up taking a half day to get everything routed correctly and sealed.I can see if this were for an SUV or car it would have been much quicker.

Good product. Lasted 5 years.

Having the backup camera display on your rear-view mirror is the BEST place for it! New cars with back-up camera built in have the display down below the dash level. With this product, you can be looking in your rearview mirror and half of it shows the camera display and the other half is still your regular mirror.Overall, this product works pretty well. Image quality is good. Night vision was particularly useful so it works just as well in a dark garage. Occasionally (rarely), though, the image did not pop up on the display when it should. I have the wireless version, so I suspect that when the image did not come up, there may have been some strong radio interference nearby.Updating in April, 2024. The display has totally failed. It just shows blank white at all times (not just when car in in reverse). Five years of life is not bad for a product like this. I purchased a new one and only needed to install the new mirror with display to get the system back working again. No need to replace the camera and transmitter in the back, which is good because installing that in the back hatch of my minivan was a tedious job. It required completely removing the interior cover of the hatch!

Nice add on, when it functions properly.

Installed as instructed. Display shows white screen, or distorted image 40% of time. The rest of the time it's nice and clear. One other thing, I thought this would be hard-wired to aux power, but it is a cigarette (12v) interface. This caused some additional work on my end since the 2002VW I installed it in had the 12v lighter ports on battery direct (always on).

it glitches every so often but the product picture is great unless the sun is directly hitting the camera.. then it can be hard to see. other than that i like it.
