I thought from the photo it would be a bit bigger but it will do to get a young girl further interested in gardening if the seeds are decent quality and grow.

I bought this for my daughter to start her own gardening experience in pandemic as there was a shortage of plants everywhere but to our disappointment only few strands of stems with tiny leaves grew and there was never a sign of any flowers:( we gave it water and sunlight my daughter took such good care of it but nothing worked and eventually we just have to dump it out:( not a happy camper!!

I bought this as soon as I saw it for my granddaughter’s birthday. We celebrated her birthday last night. She loved it except there were NO SEEDS included. It was so cute, but she couldn’t do much with it last night. Her mom is going out tomorrow to buy seeds. UPDATE: I reached out to the company that makes these little gardens and they are making it right. FIVE STARS !!!

Nice job. My five year old grandchild loves it and the seeds are already growing into flowers. One edit of this review. Put holes in bottom of planter. They had a huge rain and it was just flooded.

We received this as a gift and although my daughter had fun painting the planter, I am very disappointed that we got all marigold seeds in our box. This is especially irritating as my daughters favorite color is pink abd wanted pink flowers.

I agree with the reviewer who said to just suck it up and go to the garden store and buy your own stuff! Lol. Buy 3 pots, a bag of good potting soil, 3 packets of seeds, and some indoor/outdoor acrylic paint and you'll be set, probably for less than $30! HOWEVER - we got this set as a gift and my 4 yr old was SOOO excited. She painted the tin pot (it was fine, no sharp edges and the paint stuck to ours) and the little wood signs... and that was 2 days of activities, so I loved it. Planting the seeds... That took a bit more effort. We followed the other reviews and used our own potting soil. Just toss out the little "soil/ moss/ coconut hull" pucks in this kit, they're awful. We gathered small rocks from the yard and filled the bottom 1/3 full then covered it with our own potting soil. Soaked the seeds for an hour or so, then planted them. NOTE - follow the instructions. They say to drop in 1 seed and space them well. I figured "let's plant 'em all!" Whoops. I then had to learn how to thin seedlings (while my daughter wasn't looking since she got mad at me when I pinched off the first few!) Lol. We wrapped ours in saran wrap and got seedlings almost immediately, so don't skip that step! This is SO exciting to a 4 yr old! After that, they grew, but the attached photo is about 2+ months later, and this is as big as they're gonna get. No blooms, not even a single one, even after setting them outside in sunny humid FL. :( My daughter is still hopeful, and I told her that as soon as the freezes are over (we're in the Midwest at the moment) we'll replant them in a much larger container outside, since other reviewers have had luck with that plan! Fingers crossed! Hope this helps someone.

My order was not handed to the resident. It was left out in the rain!

I was really excited about this, but it did not come with the seed packets.

It was a birthday present. It was cute but smaller than what I expected.
